Great day, thanks to all the guys ad girls for the help and work given. Great concept and it went off with out a dramas (apart from scotty's hangover this morning). Many thanks to Murray an Dave at Torq4x4 for their letting us use their workshop and giving their expertise. They even made a buck or two, so all in all good for everybody.
To Dhuck, Bigus Rigus, Ben-e-boy and Adam enjoy the wheeling tonight.
Hi All,
Another great day with the SE Qld chapter today. There was lots of sharing of tools, knowledge, skills, sausages and beer.
A MASSIVE THANK YOU must go to Murray and Dave from TORQ4X4 (http://www.torq4x4.com.au/) for opening up their workshop for us, putting on a barbie and putting up with us all day.
Thanks also to those that assisted me with work I did on my truck: engine oil and filter, locking hubs regrease, boost gauge sender and brake fluid change.
It was great to hang out, check out everyone's trucks and get some work done all at once.
Cheers,
Steve
Big thanks to TORQ4x4, so very generous to offer the use of their workshop.

Thanks for the photos Steve, captured the day well. Who likes my safety boots :p
Well, what a day!!! An absolute cracker from start to finish (the start was pretty rough for me however!! lol). Heaps of 'odd jobs' and larger items tackled and all in all, I think it was a screaming success.
Would not have been possible without the gracious offer from Murray and Dave (old mate) from Torq4x4 to let us use their facilities ... a massive THANKYOU on behalf of us all!!! I know I'm like a kid in a candy store when surrounded by 4wd equipment for sale, and subsequently, I've committed to dig deep into the pockets and get a Mako winch and 148 litre petrol tank. So hopefully the purchases made by the members will go a long way towards making the days worthwhile to yourselves, and I look forward to many more as your business continues to grow. We will all be happy to assist wherever we can in ensuring this happens.
We had 13 members in attendance with a few extra ring in's, and the day went without a hitch (except for 'someone' breaking one of the hoists - c'mon, you know who you are .... fess up!!) with some very happy members driving away sporting new lights, sliders, boost gauges, 12 volt outlets, catch cans, control arms, power steering coolers, exhausts, etc. A big thanks to you all also for your continuing contribution, and your willingness to assist and support one another in a friendly, social way. Not a bad word spoken all day, plenty of laughs, and not a bloody bad way to spend a Saturday I reckon!!
These will definitely take off as it was simply an ideal location and end result for many of us.
Alright alright I broke the hoist. I have stood forward lol. well I broke it after the attempt to fix it with a non high tensile bolt :S. to much power "flexes arms".
but what a great day I was a ring in as having a d22 the hoist was an advantage to be able to check the underneath properly, and talk mods with the boys. Thanks to the guys at torq4x4 for the use of the workshop was brilliant. oh not to mention some nice looking patrols.
thanks
rusty
Bigus or Ben-e, do you have any pictures from wheeling last night??? Any broken pieces???
Hahaha young fella!!! I didn't actually mean when you broke it the "second" time!!! I was taking the p!ss out of myself about the fact I broke it "first"!!!! lmao
Was great to have you there mate and you helped out all over the place and was greatly appreciated ...
Oh, and I remembered I broke something else ... one of your drillbits!!! lol
Well I had to crash at scotty's last night as we left tank in the bush over night we need to go and get it today and put it on it wheels again i'll post photos later we'll be busy today
