Yeah I've read that , it will be blocked at both ends by the time I'm finished so that'll eliminate that pipe out of the equation , it's already blocked at the valve end but the pipe WAS still under pressure but not anymore , I was just going to block the manifold end of the EGR pipe and put it back together but while I've got it disassembled this far I thought I might as well pull a manifold off and put new gaskets on it as well . Can't see any soot leaks around it but it wouldn't take much of a leak to make a noise .
