bit of a dig but can you update what you think of your compressor now.
I brought a similar one a while ago, bloody horse of a pump beats my
3/4hp one in the troopy

Yes it's another 70mm bore pump..
And yea it's huge
Another 50 amp Anderson plug cover arrived, now I have one for the front.
That one is mainly for solar power at camp, the rear one is for power to my camper.
They will keep the terminals nice and clean.Even
has a small led to show you have power present.
Those pumps have a weird thread after talky to Szytrex
we found out it was 12mm x 1.25 not BSP, so a bit
of a heads up if you need to change the pipe work.
BTW mine is silver cost about $120 with warranty
Yea I was looking at the thread. I try and use ryco fittings but yea the thread is Weird..
I'll take it to black woods. They have a full socket and stud range so we'll find the right one..
You wont,,,, its bolt thread but good luck with it I think skytrex silver soldered two fittings together
it was the only way, but happy to wait and see what you come up with.
Bought it nearly a month ago but it arrived today.
New Scoop got 3 weeks to learn electrics and get the old girl back together.

It'll probably be fine for 31" tyres but yea the 4th 33 took a noticeable amount longer.
But yea tank will be a huge help..
But I won't have a tank..
You'll all see..
Well if you flick it on before you get to your air up destination then yea it'll help. You'll have 'x' L capacity at 110 psi so depending on your capacity you may get a tyre pumped up before the compressor kicks in again.. so it's had time to cool again and is more efficient for the others..
Would there be enough air in a tank to inflate a tyre? It wouldn't stay at 110 PSI though, as soon as some air is released then the pressure starts to drop yeah?
Had a 600mm by 150mm tank in the other 4x4 helped heaps with my Big Balls 3/4hp pump.
Son is selling it soon so Ill see if I can grab that pump and air tank, doubt it though.
Would this pump keep up with the air thats going into a tyre, its pumps big numbers.
7 cfm I think
What pressure does the pump go up to? I would have thought 110 would be fairly high for one of those?
>>>tappin from tassie
It is swings and roundabouts... there is no exact answer as there are too many variables such as tank volume, tyre size, road pressures etc
No tank means the Air Compressor is starting to pump at, say 18 PSI so high flow and finishes at, say 36 PSI so med flow and lower overall load.
With tank means the Air Compressor is trying to pump the tank up to say 115 PSI which means low flow and higher load from 36 PSI upwards.
If the tank drops to say 30 PSI during inflation now the Air Comp is trying to 'inflate' the tyre and the tank so needs even more volume.
Yes, that 'extra' air goes into the next tyre but it was generated at a higher efficiency cost
A tank is at it's best advantage as an accumulator for higher volume use such as air tools etc where the tank is high pressure and the offtake is regulated low pressure.
Also great for air horns, lockers or a quick top up say from 12 back to 16 just using teh accumulated volumes
They have a 150 psi pressure relief valve on em..

Some ppl pump their spare up to 60-65 psi and make up a hose with valve fittings on each end.
This may be handy for one tyre or enough just to clean a dusty air filter,
5 x muddies and rims, started a thread in tyres and rims
Wife just bought me a snorkle for the gu..
Early birthday pressy..
Will have it on by May..
Bought a 40L Engel Legacy Edition with Bag and wiring on Saturday
OME 2" lift
Fitted the rear today and the front tomorrow
Got the castor advisement kit and sway bar extension kit.
How important is the castor kit????Attachment 65382
2 batteries for the dewalt drills etc and 2 batteries for the 2 paslode nail guns now to do some work
no excuses
oh its bloody hot
From Super Cheap a pair of maxtrax and a 150 watt solar blanket that folds into a small box.
Couldn't get into town for the shop opening this morning so scored them on line for their Easter camping specials.
Knew there was 1 solar and 2 maxtrax in stock, not used online before and received a SMS confirmation to pick the gear up as it's ready.
You little beauty.
Here you go mate

I use the rough & ready 70% calculation to estimate a panel’s output when mounted flat or close to.
Wattage of panel divided by nominal voltage & multiplied by 70%.
In this instance 150/12 = 12.5 12.5 x70% = 8.75A ..... so I’d agree with MT’s estimate of 8.5amps.
However - brand new panels often perform over spec & ‘settle down to more conservative figures after a little regular use. In addition a bright but cool day, particularly if close to large bodies of water (reflection) can also push output above specs. These are the exception rather than the rule though. It is also possible that this new solar blanket has a higher efficiency that
most panels available, but I too wouldn’t expect that from SCA products.
So Lucas, when, a bit further down the track, your panel’s output is more like MT expected - don’t be disappointed - it’s normal. :)
Measured with a clamp metre it wasn't quite 10amp some thing like 9.7 but close enough for me.
Even 8.5 amps I'd be stoked with. Fridge draws about 4 so even if it was running constantly id be in front
I do have another 120w foldable if i ever needed more juice
a o ring ... damn they aren't cheap
