Considering selling the beast mate?

I'll make a better offer: Two jars of pure Aussie Yellow Box honey.
Passenger side inner axle seal is leaking pretty bad ever since Ellis Track.
Leak is pretty bad, oil caked all over ball joint and flowing down even after the seal was replaced.
Suspected diff bent?
In this situation what's the best thing to do with limited funds for a few months?
Just keep diff oil topped up and suck it up?
@nissannewby
You mentioned a while ago there's a different seal you can buy which may help, do you have any info on that seal mate?
If the diff is dent nothing will work.
If the axle has a worn spot you can get different seals.
First place I'd take it to is an alignment joint.
They'll be able to tell you if it's bent or not.
If it is, gu diff..
If it's not, rebuild with the better seals.
Yours too! Mines leaking aswell. Even after changing the seal... My RHS was really bad but I changed the CV a while back and it hasn't leaked since. Now the left is leaking. I reckon mine is just from lack of use. Lol.
Atleast offer a jolly green giant mate, considering all the work he's put into it lately... Lol.
I second this.
If it is not leaving a puddle beside the tyre every day then it's a slow leak and just keep an eye on it. If the diff housing is bent then a GU front diff is a No Brainer.
Got any pics? Give it a good wipe clean then give it a day or two and have a look.
...........
Thats interesting AB, who rebuilt your front diff? Wipe that clean mate and monitor it. Normally when the inner axle seal is gone it will weep and drip straight down, that looks like a build up of Grease not Diff Oil. a big seal leak will splatter the inside of the tyre too.
My GQ wagon used to do that, don't believe there was any issue or the mechanics I were using didn't think there was anyways.
Easiest way to tell if the front diff is bent is camber and the uneven wear on the tyres from that.
The best way to check if the diff is bent is to strip it down and use an axle housing allignment bar.
Something like this

doesn't look like a major leak to me, very small hence the build of of gunk with dust n sh!t.
As MR and Winnie said, a bad leak would be splatter your inner tyres too.
P.S. you worry too much
Yeah it is grease. But that was cleaned before.
Luve ya mate, just drive the bastard :-) !!
So can someone confirm happy AB driving lol
Because after 9 months of shit, today, I moved all of the crap out of my carport and I officially have old GQ sitting here! I could've had another "bastard" child in that time!
A nice ST-x 550
Or even a nice ford ranger wildtrack
Official post #4
Had the morning free so Rossco, MB and I went for a little drive for 5 hours and it drove great and 100% no turbo leaking so I can hopefully try to forget about that and be confident this turbo is reliable!
Actually went "offroading" today, first time in 9 months!!!
Coming down a pretty long, steep and tight descent we were met with 6 trail bikers who where at the bottom of the hill and didn't wait for us and continued up the climb with no room next to us they all screamed up the hill mm away from my car throwing up rocks, etc. Absolute muppets and after the first few came past me I was very tempted to run the rest over, disrespectful little buggers!!!
I'd check your undercarriage if I were you mate....I counted 7 ;-)
Yeah was good, thanks haven't been out for ages. We really are lucky having such nice bush so close although toolangi can get busy and there's always a few Muppets to be found like those dudes shooting near the track where we stopped - scared my poor little doggie.
Was still good found some nice areas further or the back which was nice. Was good to go for a spin in the GQ they both semmed to behave themselves as they should. ☺
Did you guys get any pics?
