compressed air is a no no in case of collision. Better off buying a tested tank and bolting it to the chassis rail.
Had that idea years ago and was warned off it , ended up making the side steps into water tank instead even with
76 x 50 RHS by 1.8 mt long,,,not much water,

how are you going to test them , and what happens if it goes pear shaped

Compressed air test.
But it's my bus so I'll take that risk.
They won't be pressurized most the time anyway, only when needed.
Same as you don't run the air compressor all the time..

Do you have any pressure tickets? Not questioning your welding, just saying that if you do I see absolutely no reason why it could be called illegal.

Seller assured me they were GU struts, plus they mount differently

New solar panel adjustable mount from track lander so I can fit the Rv 5 tent on the roof rack by sliding it under the solar panel, should give me heaps of room now.

Plus my LCD sceen solar controller with USB ports as extra, with bonus 2 x 50 amp
anderson plugs. Now just waiting on my new multi meter to arrive.

Yep they're pretty big mate and can also get pretty hot when using them so be careful when putting away for the first time.

I really hope no one every buys one of these hoping to mount under the bonnet! Lol

Yea I did get warm. Thinking a 12v computer van on the head will be a good addition once I'm cofident in it.
It's going in the rear 1/4 were the jack is located. The new draw system will make that sections a bit of a pain to get to so no good for a jack.. but looking at an exhaust jack anyway.

Well not quite, with all the shit under my bonnet couldn't fit the twin one in so just went with the high output, the other drama is there is only one locker available and we can't get it till next week :( The compressor is in and it now has a outlet at the rear of the car next to the tow hitch for pumping tyres etc and the locker will go in next week.

Apparently arb are taking orders and deposits for the lockers and then they will do a production run the cheeky buggers.
