How many smokes per wheel did he have? I reckon it was three per wheel when he did mine.:D

70 cigs per wheel.... fark he can smoke his profits away..
Got Erica to help me bleed the last of the brakes after I picked her up from 3 days at school camp and I was not paying attention and let the bottle run dry... fark sucked in air.
Pretty distracted today and now I have it gravity bleeding while I pretend to be the perfect husband... ended up being a pretty bad day.
Ok just got back from a test drive after trying Parksy's suggestion of gravity bleeding the brakes and it worked perfectly.... wow so easy and very effective.
Cheers Parksy.
Did not have time to do the axle seal and will not get a chance till next week as today is my 20th anniversary with Margherita and we are going to Heathcote for the weekend.
Got a little bored this arvo so knocked this up.... i dont care its not perfect because i made it and it makes me happy.
Still working on the fixings and am going to look into that setup that opens with the barn door.
Now i have to fold cloths and mop the floors while the boss is out so she feels special that i help..lol

Looks good ,now about your house work good for you i do it every other day washing every monday rain hail or shine but draw the line at folding but have been known to do it
Must be hard rubbish day around your place again is it. nice score... MWHWHWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Are you going to mount the number plate on the jerry holder?
Looks good, there goes our hanging spot haha.
I am trying to find pics of a swing away that is attached to the barn door and opens at the same time saving having to open both.. I have seen this set up and have a good idea as to how I want to do it but cannot find the one set up I have seen.... anyone know of any?
My plan is to have a bracket coming from the door with a nylon roller that attaches to the swing away and travels a channel that runs along it.
Looks good jono. Did you make it up from scratch? Arc? ?
Looking good Jonathan, I want to make a left side but think I will put a double jerry on it on the GUiV
Pretty cool Johnny, even better you made it yourself.
DSPIES has the barn door opening thing you're looking into
I just realised where id seen that holder from. I have something here that you may be able to use. A bloke contacted me and wanted to buy two of the GU barn door dove tails. This is a U shaped guide for the door when you shut it so its positioned right. He was using them for his double swing jerry can holders he made up. I have one here you can have if it helps.
Looks good man. When you are bored again I need a new rear bar thanks. If you can drop it off next weekend to. Lol
I have enough steel to make 3 more rear bars but the center part only ... you would have to buy your own tube steel. I do have some long L- steel that could be used to make a more normal plate type rear bar.
Bunch of stuff I want to do but between mothers day and the weather it will be on hold.

First trip into the high country and Bruce did very well... mags liked the power doing the hill climbs as the torque meant less gear changes and not having to rev it nearly as hard as a petrol.
Couple of things need tweeking and on the morning after the big drive in a checked the radiator and noticed it needed topping up.. only about 150ml but still had me scratching my head.
After the day of driving on the tracks and the long drive home the overflow bottle had about 200ml more in it but as soon as the car cooled it sucked it all back.
So this morning i checked it again and there was about 30ml needed to top it up..... overflow bottle was normal.
Temps for the trip were good with 2 very steep long long climbs that went for about 10-15min and the temps reached 97 and held for a short time before coming down quickly when the hill leveled out even just a bit.
Pyros were never bothered at all... i think the worst was a long climb on the sealed road doing about 80km it got to just over 500 for a little but no issue at all on the tracks.
Diesel figures i am not sure about as i will not know for sure of my mileage until i fill up but with heaps of high country driving and freeway driving some of it at about 115kmh i have only managed about 400km with the needle sitting at the empty mark..?
I love my car.....
400 ks and didn't use a drop of petrol lol
Honest mistake JUST don't do it at the BOWSER
Today i nearly slammed into a car in front thanks to a smart ass sneaking up my left with traffic stopped ahead..
My foot went to the floor but i was not pulling up.
Thought i was going to nail the car hard.
After i picked up erica i got her to help me bleed the brakes again and nearly every caliper had air in them.
I went for a drive and there seemed to be a big difference but noticed when the car really leaned forward the brakes came on very strong.
Makes me still wonder if my bias is set up properly.
Also a bit proplexed about fuel usage and think i might be using my than i should.
Finished my swing away jerry can holder... just need the number plate light and it is complete.
Will make some different brackets that slide into the back of it to carry different things..eg chainsaw.

very impressive jonathon! did you make that yourself? would love to see a build thread if you could? or maybe for the future ones!!!
Nic I did not take any pics while I was making this.... it kind of just evolved ... mostly made up of bits I have been collecting over the last few years and modified and welded it all together.
A bit more thought will go into the wheel carrier as it takes a lot more weight and should probably take some pics while I am doing it.
It was good therapy for me today doing this as I have been a bit grumpy.....grrr !!!
That rear bar and swing out Jerry holder looks great...
May have to look at something like that myself once my funds recover..
Cheers mate..... most of it is made from scrap steel I have collected over the last few years.. just bought the tube bar and the swivel hub things but everything else was free.
You should get new number plates, remove all traces of LPG =]
Ha ha ha... yes ordered one plate yesterday..
Just got car back from getting service done at HT's and mostly all good.. good thing about having it on the hoist is easier to check for worn bushes and stuff.. I found some and replaced them but turns out the right rear lower control arm need replacing.
Also knew a radius arm bush was starting to go but now know exactly which one is worn.... always the left.
Any progress with your brakes?
