Some grease nipples arrived so I can change one that got broken when
I picked up a screwdriver on hard rubbish day in my tyre and it smashed off one nipple
Great choice I reckon. Over the years I’ve had 3 saws, all Stihl. Started with a rebuilt little 012 which was still running well after 20 years until I ran over it with my old Land Rover (Series 2a ute). I bought an 036 & gave it a hard life for 20 years & replaced it about 4 or 5 years ago with an MS361. I’ve use plenty of other people’s saws which are ’temperamental’. FWIW I reckon the best way to prevent a saw from becoming temperamental is to not let anyone else use it! When my son wanted to borrow my saw I bought him a second hand one of his own.
I would suggest doing a chainsaw course if you havent already,I've a mate who's an instructor
I still surprises him the amount of ppl that still cut dangerously regardless how many years
they have used one. Most clubs wont let you use one without a ticket, just a thought if something
did go wrong, touch wood
Sthil just had a sale on saws for $250 thats good value imo for a sthil
Better slot the chainsaw course in for when I do the lawn mower refresher course.

Just got my new gauges delivered today. Unfortunately I can't find a LH pillar pod for mounting them. No empty dash space either. Have to try to come up with another option.

There's various dash pods that you can buy that may suit your needs better, some folk have made their own in the images link below

just bought some King springs for the front to match the rear ones that were kindly given to me from by a fellow clubby a couple of months back.......... then time to start looking at getting some new shocks
This 12v battery monitor gauges arrived, I think Ill mount them flush in the "d" pillar moulding
I may do that. I wanted everything to look as smooth and finished as possible. I may have to ditch the pillar mount altogether as I have a pillar speaker to work around as well. I'll get it figured out one way or the other.

Been looking there. The LH ones were offers by 4x4concepts and they haven't been relisted for a couple of weeks now. Listing says they are no longer available. Nothing shows up on their website either.

Absolutely!! In fact there is so much to know that it is a 2 day course. Well worth the trouble. I use to do track clearing with DSE the weekend before track opening and anyone using a saw had to be certified and wearing chaps, and all PPE. Good course and well worth the effort.
Worth the effort if you need the cert for work. You'd hope in the two day course they teach you how to scuplta bloody unicorn from a tree stump. Whats this world coming too. Next there will be a course on how to use clippers to trim your plants.
