I just notted off on the car.
If I could I'll be asleep.
And no I'm not driving....
Picked up a couple of shifters from Sydney Tools to help me with a few jobs.

Hi TD,
The first number will be the month tested and the last number the year tested. Number in the middle will be the test station.
Looking at these Oct 2007 and Feb 2008.
Any ideas on what you plan to do with them yet?
Finished off my wiring for the two Redarc gauges. Cuppa, if your reading this, all sorted mate. Mental note to self. RTFM! Twice.
Also cleaned up a little ready to ship the troll off to the workshop tomorrow.

Today I bought new kingpin spacers for the front end as well as a new drive-shaft for the passenger side (driver's side for you Aussies). One of the previous owners apparently removed the kingpin spacers for some weird reason and he also never checked his front driveshaft bearings. it was completely dry - no grease in it whatsoever so it was partially seized up and destroyed from lack of lubrication.
One of many things I'm now finding out about the vehicle. No big deal. At least I know what I have now and that things are done right.
Redarc Tow Pro
i think you will find that there are some people who remove those spacers to stop the front wheel wobble which is common but dont check the preload on the bearings and what it does is put too much pressure on the bearing and it shits itself like your have. good luck with it mate sounds like you will get it sorted.
I remember reading about doing that, but that just serves as a quick fix and doesn't address the root problem. From my understanding, the real solution was to replace the kingpin bearings? I'll have to try to dig up that thread or find where I read that. Is there something else I should do to prevent the death wobble?
Td05 18g
12mm pump
CC cooler and scoop
Injectors
4" Snorkle
4" airbox and piping
Clutch
Na, just something that's nice to drive and tows well
I've heard that too, but I've also heard the ones that face backwards are louder as the finish right on top of the window opening ... Well that what I'm clinging to anyway  I'm getting one with a forward facing ram head on it, so it'll look just like a Safari one only a tad thicker when you get a bit closer to it.
No, forward facing for me. It's a Radius Snorkle. Hoping it'll look something like this, only a series 4 though...

But it's lifted and running 31" tyres so it's a good start.
Usable now but a do'er'uper.
Headed out last weekend and had the winch output shaft snap so that was a turn around and repair job.

Heading out again tonight. Hopefully a more successful trip lol..
A caravan Westy, you are getting soft.
Better not let my misses see this or she will be nagging me to get one.
Yea mate. Been using the camper trailers and really there just as much stuffing around, if not more, than the straight tent.
So comprised and landed with this.
Heaps of storage room, heaps of sleeping room. Reasonable capable (will be once I'm done anyway) and a good price.
If we do wanna get off off road we'll still tent it.
That's awesome Kallen, well done mate.
That's the sort of thing that I wanted but Amy refuses to sleep in those suspended beds.
Haha, thats my mates rig. That snorkle is a Millweld one, but looks very similar to the Radius one. Yes I will need to cut an elongated hole as the snorkles are recessed. A 4" snorkle that sits completely outside the guard is very vey wide.
The Radius one will also cover up the holes from my standard Nissan snorkle (except for one bolt hole underneath which will require a plug) whereas some other the other designs don't quite do this. If I had no existing snorkle I may have gone a different way?
Have seen quite a few of those in the outback. Always the older ones like yours. Over the years the owners have modded them (think strenthening, silicon & dustproofing) & those still getting around have reached a stage of being well suited, lightweight & virtually unbreakable.
Yea first point of call is brake upgrade and electric brake setup, coupled with an extended draw bar, front tool box for annex, poles, Porta loo etc and a poly block (or ad I call it a treg) hitch.
I'll also start the installation of drop legs on all 4 corners to suit the lift. Atm it's all bit wobble when setup due to everything being close to max down as its been lifted 4 inches
