Think its ok with braid as there is no "twist" to it, Correct me if I'm wrong
Other than that I'd put screwdriver through the spool with some resistance in vice
and wind away. might be wrong but always worked on mono
I use the vice to pre load the line or i hold it and get some one to reel and i watch how much the rod tapers, but i always cast a freshly spooled reel with just a sinker as far as i can a few times before i use it so the line settles. If the wind isn't in my face i usually settle the first 100 to 150m.Quote:
