Glove box is still ok eh lol
I had not thought of that. By removing the catch that the door locks onto might be the way to go. Surely there are nuts holding the catch and not inserts so if accessible, it should be possible to undo nuts and latch will slide out with minimal damage when door is opened.
Its gone on way to long, surely a dealer would know what to do.
89 posts and growler is still doing the dukes of hazard entry... I'd say it's time to track down Agatha

one of these should work nicely http://www.amazon.com/DEWALT-DWMT707.../dp/B00OK3TWUC :p
It's a week now growler, have you tried anything yet?
At least go and see a panel beater.
Did you turn it into a convertible Lol
Bumped ,,,,,,,,,,,need an update mate this is not good at all,
Growler, have you tried turning it off and on again?
Still Dukes of Hazarding it.
Pulled the centre pillar cover off in hope of being able to access the latch. But the nuts are captive @#$%. Plan is to hit Nissan up when it goes in for the airbag recall
Can you take out the bit of plastic that's behind the inside handle?

I have resisted stirring you up on this Growler, as I reckon I'd be goin' round the twist trying to get the door fixed but I think it's time you gave Gandalf the White a call.
It's been two weeks now you kamikaze f@ck nut
….................... On the move
Haven't tried but don't think it'll help. I can hear and feel the lock working. It's would seem it's the latch mechanism as described earlier. I've been digging around with coat hangers, using expletives, a small amount of physical violence and many threats of fire

Get an inspection camera from SCA for $50-$70 and have a look inside the door. That way you might be able to see what is going on. Saved me a lot of mucking around when a ring fell into the air ducting on the dash.
Now that's a brilliant idea!!

Have you tried getting someone to push the door closed while you try inside and or outside handles?
Inspection camera is a good idea.
Unhelpful idea: Have you checked the tyre pressures are correct?"

Panhard Bushes... it's always the Panhard Bushes... and don't forget to disconnect the Battery for 30 minutes or the MAF will get dirty and stop the oil lubricating the outside of the Intercooler
i think its just say fu growler you bought a bug, i will show you a bug :)
Mine popped the radiator just after we looked at a new Titanium, then did an alternator when we looked at a used one. I showed her traded her on a demo.

LOL This thread gets better and better. I've got a loose earth in the rear lights that comes good every time I get a multimeter out. Don't try to fix any more, just open the tool box and all good.
What's the go, "G" man??
I reckon borrowing one of them humungous electromagnet thingies they mount on Cranes at the Scrap Yards and energising it next to the door should loosen the mechanism.
TD Cut n pasted from another thread
The only way is to drill the f@rkr out from inside the door at the back find the littl farkr latch then release the door and replace mechanism........ basically its a #### of a thing and the farkwit engineer at nissan that came up with it needs a farkn bullet. I currently have a drivers door trim that is farkd and still a locked door until i buy a new mechanism $300 plastic piece of shit. When i have \that I'll drill the old farker out
I have faith in you G man, you telling me you haven't used this Patrol
for over a month........??????
Fark man you need this fixed before you know what
