Haven't tried but don't think it'll help. I can hear and feel the lock working. It's would seem it's the latch mechanism as described earlier. I've been digging around with coat hangers, using expletives, a small amount of physical violence and many threats of fireQuote:

Get an inspection camera from SCA for $50-$70 and have a look inside the door. That way you might be able to see what is going on. Saved me a lot of mucking around when a ring fell into the air ducting on the dash.
