We did pass an 80 series while in the high country which would have looked right at home uo your way..
Not running 46" tyres, but they looked 37's and were fat.. Also had a crazy offset and 6" flares to cover it...
Had a wicked stance..

Whell. Really bad news. I whent 1200km to buy the TD42 patrol. When I took a test drive. I lost all the respect for this engine. It did not give any power and it had less power than RD28T After taking a small inspection I notised that the turbo was warn out and I decided not to buy it. Now I´m hoping to find an old ram with the 12V cummins engine and manual gearbox. This is the second time I try a TD42 and I can´t say that it´s worth it. I´ll guess that the 2.8 engine has to stay for now :(
Unlucky mate. It is hard to find quality these days as they are getting on in age..
Hang in there, something will come along..
I will find something. But for now the 2,8 will stay for a while. Cummins is what I will be looking for :)
What about a viper v10 motor??
That would be a dream
I've only seen one before and it was done by the aribs..
And yes, monster.. YouTube it
I will. Yesterday I decided to change the Hella rallye 3000 for light force. They look so much better :)

Love the snow driving mate.
The snow driving is fun :)
Went for a snow drive over the weekend, here in victoria.. great fun also anyone heading to snow in vic post in Victorian 4wd Snow Hunters on facebook :)
P.s doesnt have to be just victoria
Have you checked the small gauze filter in the banjo bolt? It can also be fuel lines or hoses going to injection pump sucking small amount of air. Does the valvetrain and the hydraulic lifters sound good? All hoses and gasket between turbo and intake manifold is in good shape? Also check if u got high pressure in the cooling system;)
Everything seems to be ok. There is no gauze filter in the banjo bolt. So I´m guessing that the problem is because of no filter. Some Icelanders take these filters out and say that they are important. Instead of cleaning them once every year. I checked the timing also and everything maches. So my guess is a broken injector pump.
Hi guys. I´m changing the knockle house sealings But I feel like the old sealings arent in right order. This how they are now. But I´m pretty sure that the new ones are not supose to be in this order.

Whell. After alot of thinking. I have decided to Build the big one for 46" tires. Got 16" rims just a few days ago. They will be build up 16x20" I´m still waiting for my donor to come so I can move the engine over to the big one. The engine broke down so it´s standing outside the garage waiting for an new heart. After that I´ll start to move the axles. The rear axle will back by 10cm and the front axle wil go forward 5cm. That will make a big difference when driving in alot of snow. I´m hoping to get my frineds wlding borrowed soon so I can start the building :) Cheers mates ;)
Sounds awesome mate, remember plenty of pics please
Yep I'm with growler, plenty of pics please and good luck with the build.
Thanks :) I´m hoping to get started on the building around new year. I´m still getting some of the material I need and saving upp some money for new flares. They aren´t cheep.
Lookin forward to seeing this Gisli .......
Keep us all entertained with your updates.
Some of the guys over here is Australia looked at the giant flares from your side of the world, and found out that they cost more than your firstborn child .... hope you can get a good deal and start soon
Mic
The flares cost to much. But we need them so we can´t cry about the price :/
Here are some pics from today. I borrowed two tires from friend :) Need 4" lift more and some cutting and grinding :D

wow that looks pretty wild :)
Haha wow that's awesome ... and I thought my new 33s looked cool ;)
What's the tread like? Are these like mud tyres or is there a snow tyre?

Wow, great looking Troll
I´m looking at equipment to adjust the air in the tires. But it costs alot. I will be able to control the air as I like and se the preassure in each tire.. Don´t know when I´ll buy it, but I can´t wait to get my hands on it :D
I have one question. Does anyone know if the gearbox from TD42 has been used on a 5.9 cummins 12valve??? I really want to install the cummins engine some day. I have a friend that has 6.2gm diesel engine with a manual gearbox from TD42. He bougth an adapter to use the gearbox to the 6.2 engine. But the cummins engine has more tourqe and power than the 6.2l. If I can´t use the TD42 gearbox I´ll fave to find NV4500 or getrag 360
i believe there is someone here in Perth that has a 5 speed behind a cummins but has had a few problems (read lots) due to the torque of the motor
Awesome setup..
Hit another wall today. :( I went to my friend to help him with a preassure regulator. A took to 16" rims with me to try on hes patrol. One with 12cm backspace and the other with 13cm backspace. It seems that I can only have 11cm of backspace on the rims. So It will be alot of work to modify them :/ But good things happen slowly so I´m not stressed about it. This problem is because of the lift. then I need lift for the steering also. There is special bracket made be a company here in Iceland And it wil only allow 11cm of backspace on the rims. I´ll have to call the company and check if they can modify it in some way for me.
