Canopy frame is done...See pics...Also bought some Girly Terrains just for driving to and from Brisbane for the wife....
got out the 35x10.5 centerpedes and put them on the troll. (standard suspension) Ran it up the car ramps on opposite diagonal wheels and now wonder how to make them not scrub? the back seems fine just need to extend the bump stops but the front are going to grab the back of the front gaurd, which won't end nicely! Maybe massive bump stops? 3-4 inch lift in the pipe line but this won't help under flex.
Got busy today and dirty... :D

I had 2 broken grommets on my trailer vacuum brake setup so I decided to fix it.
Then as my wife got me a dual battery solenoid I decided to move the vacuum tank to fit the battery.
Well were the hell do I put it!!!!
The tank was 350mm long by 110mm diameter... Huge.. only one option
http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...2013/01/87.jpg
So with the tank cut down to about half it fitted nicely behind the alternator..

While messing around in there I decided to also pull my vac pump off to change the leaking seal.
So that off and seal has been noted. For those who want to know its a 14.8 I'd, 30mm od and 7mm thick.
So hopefully I can get that Monday or overnight Tuesday and then start assemble Wednesday ready for our first family camping trip to beachport for the long weekend.
I'm aiming to have the dual battery setup and running to but we'll see...

Heading home from windyAttachment 24719
Just tap it in just tappy tappy tappy
installed reverse camera and rear vision mirror monitor today . also fitted an evakool wireless fridge thermometer which is a copy of the two zone version , which were a great thing . no longer avaiable I'm told .
Changed the glow plugs, fan clutch and put on a new radiator cap
Decided to see if with the new lift I could drive over the boundary wall at work. It's about three foot high. Patrol 1 - wall 0.
Some things just have to be done!

Filled in the side panels with 4mm conveyor belt

Washed out the radiator and it now runs down around 1/4 on the temp gauge compared to half before. And the fan doesn't engage... Welcome back power... :p
But did notice some fairly bad fin corrosion on the main radiator.. looks like that's being replaced in the overhaul now to.. will assess once out..

Got a similar pic, Not broken just too lazy to drive the rest of the way
Yeah right, Had to go to the doctors
Now has been running like a swiss watch after Boots came over and NADDED Neville the Nissan.
Since then been tweaking things bit by bit and now running like a swiss watch.
Gotta be a wire rubbing somewhere hey. Multimeter will sort it out
Bummer in the timing dept.
Bought a 2nd alloy spare, now I have two spares. Just need to decide on what rubber in 285 70 17, most likely mud. Any suggestions, I'm leaning toward Mickey Thompson MTZ, ATZ 4 rib or Cooper ST Maxx but really want some feedback on the Summit Mud Hog.
Hi mate - depends on what you need them for? I have the Mickeys in the ATZ 4rib 185/75/R16 and love them. Can't comment on the Mud Hogs sorry.
Jas
Put some new(old) driving lights on and wired them up, Took the bracket with the rubber off in the back door and sandblasted it at work and painted it silver and bolted it back on, the small bottom latch received the same treatment yesterday.
Got the Snorkel leak fixed today and then installed the second battery tray this evening.
Hi Jas,
Yeah very apologetic and I must say they did a really good fix. Had a quick look under the guard to check there were no dodgy seals under there but all good.
Now just need to finish the UHF, Electric Brake Controller and Dual Battery Controller installs with help from the son in law.
Hope the suspension guy is open Sat morning so I can chase up that lift.
Fitted some of Threedogs recovery points tonight after work, and i gota say it looks at least 10% tougher lol
Replace what looked like the original exhaust with a lukey 2.5 inch system. Booyah
Just tap it in just tappy tappy tappy
Put the refurbished wheels on, this is the DRY setup.
Finally hard wired my electric water pump in the rear. Now I have pressure at the flick of a switch. I just need to look at is there something better than a 20 litre jerry, that suits my needs.
Spent 3 hours under the car cleaning off all the mud and crud from last weekend's play...... Really need to stay out of the puddles!!!!!!!!! :D
Gonna try and give the outside and also inside a thorough going over tomorrow.
Don't stroke it, TAP it!!!!.....
found a nice water crossing and proceeded (0.7m)to drive it repeatidly to wash the salt and sand from under my car after being evacuated from the beach .. good timing for flooding
lent it to a mate along with my car trailer to retrieve an old jail bar ford truck he intends on doing up, geez I hope he comes back,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Shall attempt the water crossings all over Brisbane so I can return my niece to her parents otherwise we've just adopted a 3 yr old and the powers out
Its all good, 'cause I got this for the weekend in exchange,,,,,,
Washed it in the rain then 30 mins later went for a long drive 2 Windsor then headed out towards Colo River finding lots of dirt roads and mud :):):)
Lent my troll to my oldest kid.
He has a MC licence and made it safely to his destination. Now to pray for the trip home. lol.
Caught a bug that gave me conjunctivitis. Got 2 days sick leave, coz it's contagious.
At least I can open my eyes in the morning, now - without them staying stuck together!
Decided the boys had to much fun at Woods Point and the pictures made me jealous. Really wished I could have been there.
Took up the challenge from a couple of modified Toyos for some off roading.
Hot and very dusty and as I've never got the Patrol wet before I decided to give it a wash before heading home. No one got bogged BUT one Toyo had a quite a bit of backwards forwards action to get out. Really spewing they got out as I really wanted to tow it.
Time to show them what a stock standard automatic Patrol, with AT's, an unreal LSD and Diff Locker as standard can do.
