Where you get these from @Touses? Ive been losely thinking of ditching the top mount cooler and opting for w2a.

As I understand it, water to air works well on petrol powered road cars where the boost is only in relatively short bursts and the water in the cooler gets some adiabatic cooling between bursts of high boost, they rely a lot on thermal mass.
Turbo Diesels run boost for long periods of time so they heat up the water & become less efficient.

Nads kit
Erg blank plate

Boost control valve
Egt gauge
Boost gauge
Cc intercooler to be ordered at end of the week
Heya bloke. Yeah out of Frozenboost. ordered 1st June, here 13th but spent more time in OZ than anywhere else en-route.
Didn't want a top mount cooler so vehicle remains as stock looking as possible. Th Pig has a front mount cooler and it creates probs with airflow when using big boost.
Also costs a psi or 2 with the 1/2k of plumbing from turbo to inlet. This lot should reduce egt's without boost loss.
They are a very solid unit the boxier one must weigh between 2-3 kg!
Both those units and the fillers cost less delivered than a single pwr unit. Very pleased!
Hey bloke, great minds and all that! Wanted to do same with cores and manifold, had 'designed' the thing in my head but the nay sayers dragged me down
with cost and manufacture devils. The big argument was cooling, water in, from one end only, the exit of course is not as cool as the entry.
I reckoned water ingress from both ends and egress from centre. This of course led to arguments re welding/sealing at those ends of the core.
I backed down on it to get the build bloody well done. I do have a spare manifold tho. Will be giving it further thought as time allows!
