Use grey rope to tape it to a pole
Basic design done....All I need now is a couple of leaf springs...
Nah I'm good to go, I'll make mine from mild steel.
Later I'll do a spring steel copy. Think I've ticked most boxes as well.
All I did was throw a heap of tool in a pile and made one design with all tools in it.
And I might add even a signalling mirror oh yeah baby, Boom baby Boom
Are we showing design now as we will all be different I think, Im done just need some holes
and an edge put on it but shape wont change
Leaf springs.. Geeze were getting thick now..
It's an interesting concept the multi tool.
Any pic of their favourite TD?
I gotta finish the bloody car off then ill make a couple. Still got heaps of L6 steel from the saw blades.
Made 2 and have been informed both are wicked and hold a mighty edge.

@ OD thought you might like this
@ Kallen its not going to win any beauty shows but it needs to do heaps of things for "Survival" that's why its more a tool.
The one I'm doing now is a dummy for the real one, pretty chuffed as it ticks most of the boxes, a handy "TOOL"
What thickness?
My L6 is 4mm.. Probably on the thin side..
Another use to build in, tent peg lifter??
Bottle opener / can opener
I'm thinking a rather wide but stubby dagger..
I went along the lines of a cross between a mattock and a pick,
I'll put up a pic but its way from finished,
The curved under edge is the knife on top will be a saw,
that bung of steel is the hammer the handle will have para cord
to tie a shaft to it as a spear, there will also be a hole in the middle
so you can use as a mattock or pick, Plus I'll polish steel so its reflective as well
but yeah pretty happy so far, the spear part is in the handle.
@ Kallen more survival than camp duties,
edit pic could be better sorry
I have scanned my design but it's in pdf format.... How can I upload that?
way more to do but I'll chop and change this one then translate that onto the leaf spring one,
bummer thought I had some here as I had the fire going
heres my OE drawing
yeah compact I worked on the lines of a mini machete but with a thicker blade.
Once I drill holes you can put a stick/branch and use as a mattock or pic , then
get a longer branch and lash it on to make a spear, sort of lol

Those cold steel knives are good, never been sure on the hollow handle though

Ok, my design is a little like 3D's, in that it is a heavier blade based on a gollock/mattock. The blade is thick enough to stike with a hammer (to help splitting wood). The spine has a section of woodsaw, which I wanted to slightly bow, giving it more bite. The blade is Tanto shaped (just because!) and I have tried to make the blade tip usable as a screwdriver tip and a guthook at the tang handle end. The blade is approx 3in wide and 10in long and 5-6mm thick. (did I mention that this is gonna be heavy?) I will drill holes along the blade so that the blade can be attached to a pole or stick.
The handle is going to be hollow, with the end cap double-threaded, with the end cap one side and a spear point the other. Other small items will be able to be stored in the handle.
Still up at site so can't make this just yet but looking forward to giving it a crack.
Hi all Blade-discounts are only charging $10 post to OZ, so I'm getting a

Also got my eye on a Colt star pommel stag handle bowie OA 20.5in a beast
That is a great looking combo, will definetly look at getting a set
Cant knock back $10 postage from the States eh

Sweeeeet see what you mean now by nearly ticking all the boxes.
You could dig with that one.
Added another to my cast iron knives one more to come as well.
These are seriously sharp , sushimi sharp IMO
just need to keep oil on the blade to prevent any rust
Late edit:: YEAH my Buck 110 folder has returned from the Stated.
Wow it's brand new again and it cost be nothing except $20 to post it over.
It still retains the 25th blade, boom baby boom very happy
EDIT:: Customs did their bit and opened the box from Buck Inc, what are they expecting to find
a free gift for themselves. "A" holes., that Buck tactical never turned up
I forgot I picked up this bad boy on Tuesday from Anaconda. $30 down from $100.
Sheath is reasonable and is MOLLE compatible as well which is a bonus. It is a very thick and stable, full tang blade with 50/50 fine and serrated edge blade with a glass breaker (where lanyard is) on the pommel.
Came with a basic diamond grit sharpener and has enough room in the sharpener pouch for the sharpener, flint rod with striker and my Buck Bantum Stealth.
Gecko would like this knife as it is very practical and currently without a hefty price tag.

Father in-law has the perfect bench top knife maker..
@ Kallen they are great for a lot of knife making jobs, could spin a bit faster though,
that's why I bolted a linisher to an eight inch bench grinder. been too crook to do anything lately.
Yeah very handy bit of kit.
Waiting on this bad boy now 16.5" OA
Yea it is a little slow, but keeps the heat out and more controllable lol..
It flips up to.. One thing at a time..
15.5" is the saw/axe combo, you can get the smaller one again lie OD wants with a knife up the handle
best I.ve found so far is $65-$70 to your door.

Finished modding the new knife sheath.
Pouch holds the diamond stone, led torch, Buck Bantam Stealth, flint stick and striker. Will change the flint over when the new set gets here.
Knocked up a leg strap and replaced the crappy nylon cord with 4x the amount of 550 paracord.Attachment 43172

Its not just Gerber and Fiskar that make these axes,

@ OD were you after a 50th 110 Buck, this would be a beauty ,check the sheath real rattle snake.
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Buck-110-...item1e89b6a51f
Yup, still keeping an eye for the 110 50th, not sure on that sheath though.
That is 1 pricey kit with not a lot in it. I think has set me back around $150 ish but is chockers full of gear.
Slowly going through it again to change stuff to lighter weight and more multi purpose gear

Check this one out auto opening knife sheath. very clever IMO.
Buck Inc gave me a 25% off card so, might get a 50th with that.
I'm after the finger groove 110 50th

My Deba kitchen knife arrived I really love these
knives ugly as but boy do they hold an edge.
This is a bit thicker/heavier than the sushimi ones.
That is a bloody good sheath that opens as you remove the knife.
Not to keen on it auto opening, can see a recipe for disaster the way some people use knives. Good idea though.
Just finished drawing up a custom sheath for a mate to house his rescue knife and leatherman.
Going to be a pretty big sheath

Another handy survival item
My flint with compass has arrived, this is a bit more sturdy and all I need to do is replace the flint stick now and then.
Small compass in the screw cover, happy as a good item
Also won a Molle vest on ebay for $20, thinking that's a good price ?
