Dude, monster tyres cmonnnn!
Hey thirsty, r u aware if lismore are looking for a salesperson. I saw an ad
New rear brakes going on the old girl tomoz, and i just ordered the spare tyre and jerry can swing arms for the rear bar. Put it all together and send it in for painting. Keen as. Last weekend I put a 10000lb Tmax winch with rope into the Sahara bar. That come up a treat.
OK Heres a few pics after I spent hours on it today washing and polishing it. I tried a new product from turtle wax (not a product I usually use) but its quick and easy and works a treat. I even managed to get rid of a few bush pin stripes. Its called ICE Polish, more a quick detailer i think. Any ways heres a few pics with the new winch.

Cheers fletch
Sickness gotta love glasshouse :). Are you gonna colour code the rear bar so it completes the two tone all the way around?
Absolutely Nissannewby, it would have been done by now but I have decided put a LS1 into it next year. So I have been buying bits and peices for the conversion instead.
I ordered 82% reduction gears today, they will be fitted on the 8th of Jan.

A bit of winching
Just Bought a VX Senator 255kw LS1 and Auto to bolt into the GU
You say that so casually!!
DIAL-A-TAP
Sickness any possibility of forced induction while your there :)
Yeah just strap a turbo or two on while you're at it
DIAL-A-TAP
No, No turbo. The LS1 will be enough for now. LOL
The new motor that will be powering the patrol come June
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cW9Dh...ature=youtu.be
The LS1 conversion has started. 4.5L Engine is Sold and will come out in a couple of weeks. This conversion will not happen over night. I work 6 days a week and have 4 kids, so that takes up most of my time. I'll do bits and pieces when I get a chance. I'm looking at a finish date of around June/July. Although I want it to look factory, so I want it to be A1. So I will post up pics and info as I go.
Pics are of the Gearbox and engine after degreasing and the new sump going on.

I was actually surprised, The motor has 214 000klms on it and I could not see any signs of wear in the bores. No lip, no grooves. So I'm pretty happy with the condition of it.
Cheers

Awesome ride.
it looks the goods and i bet it will sound the goods too!!!!!!!!
A bit of an update.I had the gearbox rebuilt with a stage 2 shift kit, kevlar belt, corvette servo, Z gate clutch and a billet torque converter with harden spline. I have now bolted it all together. The only issue i have is that the flange on the end of the drivers side extractor just touches a fin on the bellhousing.

Bit of an update - I just ordered -B&M Pro Rachet shifter, New NGK Iridium Plugs, New MSD 8.5mm Leads, New Bosch O2 sensors, Lokar dipstick, Mr gasket Extractor gaskets and new PCV hoses. I have also organised for the hose doctor to come around and sort out the high pressure power steer hose on Tuesday. I have also ordered modified hose connection for the aircon pump and some brake line heat shields from Marks 4WD Adapters. For the record - Elliot @ Marks has been fantastic. He sorted my radiator hose issue out, with out hesitation. He couldn't do enough for me. Before I would hang up on the phone, he always made sure I understood the answer thoroughly to my questions.
I have also sent the 2 wiring harnesses of to Steve @ Killa Kustom Kables on tuesday. Should have them back in a couple of weeks. All graphed together, Vats removal and a 3way switch and loom incorporated for the thermos.
Cheers
Troy
hi mate great looking job your doing there
did you fit the motor with the standard sump, just wondering if you really need to change the sump over
i have a gen 3 ls1 and im saving for all the bits needed at the moment. I have a 3" lift and was wondering if i could fit it with the standard sump with enough clearance between the diff.
cheers
wow awesome ride. top conversion job too. love the ls1
