Here is my 89 Mav bush camping in 04, On the barge to Moreton Island later the same year.
The GU heading to Mt Dare to tackle the Simpson last year and driving home from Birdsville afterwards.
Here we have the old 60 series "T" Word (had it for about 9 years) (attached photo)with the UPGRADE, I had this only a few days then. Looks and goes better now. The T was good, but the GU is 10 times that car it could ever be.
I am ever so glad that I wised up, took a long hard look at myself and had a reality check and went on to build what I have today.
There sure are some nice vehicles you guys and gals have got.
Not sure wats going on with the attachments.
Here is the cruiser (R.I.P catasrophic engine failure from dieseling at the top of a near verticle hill). I didnt acctually own it But I put alot of km behind the wheel and it what I learned to 4wd in.
It had a N/A 1hz 2 inch shackles, the sloppiest leaf springs in the world, cut guards, custom tray, chassis chop, CIG rear locker and 35 inch trepadores.. I wouldnt have had to buy my treps if some bastard didnt steal these ones
I loved it to bits. the only money spent on it were the shackles and 35's and on many occasions it opened a fresh can of whoop-arse on a lot of rigs.
tough cruiser ben!! looks mean as!
sorry about the cruiser :-P
Bloody nice lookin GQ mate how come you downgraded to the GU hahahahahahaha
Hi All,
Here are just a few of my 4wd's that I have owned over the last 20 or so years, there are a few missing due to not have a camera or lost pic's. 1st pic is of my 82 hilux, worked 253 V8, 35" coopers, total of about 8" lift, a real beast.
2nd pic, 75 series cruiser duel cab ute, 6cyl diesel, stock as a rock complete with a tonne of rust, kids nick named it "old rusty" paid $1000 for it sold it for $1500 3 weeks later.
Then bought a neat 45 series shorty, only had it 4 weeks sold it, doubled my money.
3rd pic, 86 hilux, 4cyl diesel, stock. Kept it for about 6 weeks then swapped for G60 in next pics.
4th pic, 74 G60 soft top, 6cyl, 4.0lt petrol, stock, put lift in 2 weeks later, 32" muddies, LPG, later MQ f& r diffs, rear LSD, front disc brakes(so it would stop) another beast.
5th pic, same G60 the day I rolled it over, was on its side for about 1 hour, towed back onto wheels, let it sit for 20 minutes, hit the key away it went no worries, replaced w/screen & surround,
chopped tops off doors and did a bit of panel beating, drove to work next day, still have it sitting at our place in Western Victoria, use as paddock bomb when we go there.
Then had 82 MQ shorty, 4" lift, 33s, big block L28 POS, 4 speed, rear air locker, then converted to a 4.0lt EB-ED Falcon motor, was a real beast with falcon motor, body was completely rusted out, sold
it off to buy my current GQ.
6th pic, 90 GQ wagon, TB-42, auto, 2" lift, 33" muddies, running straight LPG through TB-42E EFI manifold, XF Falcon throttle body, 4" stainless snorkle, GQ is my daily driver and a work in progress.
Hope you all like my pic's.
Last pic wont show up dont know why, can be seen in my "members rides" section under "my white troll".
Some cool 4bees there mate look at the poor tojo lyin over havin a rest haahahahaha
Hi All,
Thanks Todd, yes it is my old G60 laying on its side resting, went right onto its top, then rolled back onto its side, it all happened at about 60klm an hour, after coming round a corner went a bit to far around the wheel dug in in a drain and over I went. Bit of fun and tested out the roll bars, which are made from 2.5" thick wall tube.
ooooooooooopppppssssssssssssssssss
from a legand of a pajero that stared in 4wd custom action to a GU3 patrol to say i felt like a fish out of water the first few times off road would be an understatement,,,,,,in fact i am still coming to terms with the extra wide wheel base and not being able to sneak through small gaps like i used to. but in saying that i do enjoy the comfort of the patrol:bananarock:
first time i have had them on the same page i think
now to see if anyone of you has paid attention,,,,, 2 photos taken on the same day for 4wd action custom can you see the difference in the photo??????? correct answer gets an all day sucker!!!
very close but no lolly for you second and third photos have 4X4 australia stickers on the bull the first which was the cover shot for the article has had the bull bar air brushed to hide the 4X4 sticker took me a while to work why the bull bar looked so new in that photo LOL
