You think they would atleast try to clean the marks off the cooler and pull the dint out. For the money you pay you would expect better I think.

unlucky mate..........
maybe get them to send your money back BEFORE you send their crap product back??
they wont do that, I know
but yeah, let them know of this thread - for them to read at their leisure, to see the reputation they have gained
hope you get your coin back
Bloody hell... I can't stand blokes that make a great product but cannot back it up with customer service!
I've been through a similar ordeal with the bloke who made my bar work. Fantastic product but the customer service was appauling! Can not recommend him to anyone now.
I wouldnt recommend CC under any circumstances ,overpriced ,,no customer driven desire to satisfy no matter what,
and very poor communications. $1800 for an IC PFhtt
Ok so cci have told me any exhaust place can get that dent out of the inlet pipe as it aint that bad and they will cover the cost ,not to sure if im keen on getting it fixedOr they said they will be happy to get the latest one picked up and send another cooler or get the whole lot collected by a courier and give a full refund
Get the refund and use the money for water methanol injection :).
how much do you $$ value your being "pissed around" and "stress Levels" because they couldn't deliver the product you ordered and paid for
or try for 3rd time lucky.........................
or maybe try one of the other many Intercooler places......
Yeah big col fully understand ive dealt with these people every smoko and every lunch for the last week, as well as being stuck on barrow island trying to sort this out , and then get sent another pos , but then it worrys me whether they will play silly buggers with my money because I know how hard it was just to get another cooler sent out to me ... I think I will be returning just on the principle and go buy a hdp and some rock sliders with the same amount of coin
Hopefully I'll have a better run than you've had mate, not sure if I'm being optimistic or just stupid?😳
Hey guys I know this is an old thread but has this issue with CC been resolved or have other members avoided them because if their issues I'm doing research into an intercooler for my GQ now so would like to know if CC have upped their game
Thanks
I bought my intercooler nearly a year ago now and I think it took about a month from placing the order. Once they told me it was ready and I had paid for it, I had it within a week.
Definitely wouldnt accept that, fight them all the way.
I really cant see how they can justify there comments
$1800 seems awfully steep for a top mount, I have priced up a full front mount kit 600x450 from HPD for $1500 dollars.
Includes all pipes, bends, new inlet elbow, two smaller thermo fans and good quality hose clamps.
Both my cousin and a good mate have had cc top mounts and both have since made the switch. Cousin even had his bonnet replaced after.
Each to their own but I know which way I'm swaying
The CC cooler would be close to those dimensions.
And that is part of the cost.
The kit includes new scoop to suit your colour, cooler, new mounting bars, new pipe work etc etc..
So really on cost point imo there woukd be more work involved in making new fiberglass scoops than suppling a few bends and a bit of pipe.
I see where you're coming from "bigguwesty" I overlooked the other bits and pieces like scoop etc, but From the photos it looked like a smaller cooler like the original GU setup.
Like I said each to their own I just wanted to mention HPD also as from what I've heard they have been great to deal with.
I also have a pre intercooler GU so would like to keep the the bonnet in tact and cooler up front.
We also had a lot of dramas trying to remove the scoop as a large number of the studs were spinning in the fibreglass but I guess most people are not going to be trying to remove it.
If I was to do it again, I would use the Yota scoop. They look sexy! Yes it Yota I know, but damn! As for the intercooler, I have a mate who welds, erm stuff, for a living. He looked at the CC cooler I have and was impressed with the quality of the welding. A lotta fecking coin for a cooler but.
Have a look @jff45 's work. He has done an outstanding job on his Patrol. Plus his air box not to mention... Hopefully he see this and posts up some pics or a link to where he posted his pics. Hats off to anyone who has the know how to make stuff this good at home.
Do you get a lot of noise through yours when you accelerating hard @Stropp? Mine is quite loud. I was annoyed with it at first but now are used to it. I did read somewhere a fella moving the mounting tabs on the brackets and using rubber isolators between the cooler and bracket. Apparently made a difference.
Yeah as I mentioned coolers seem to be lasting but the couple of manifolds I have seen pics off opened like a can of baked beans along the seam. Could have been an isolated (apprentice welder) case, however disappointing to see poor quality control if that is the case.

I get a lot of air rushing noise through mine especially when the boost gets up and going.
But I've driven 2 others and it's the same. Including Mudskis .
But it cools, does it's job.
The Cross Country web site is bloody average! there seems to be no Shopping cart function! Who Does That! also the kits are not listed with a "Whats in the box" type list. can you guys confirm that the scoop is colour matched and did you supply the colour code at the time you ordered? Did the kit come with a template for the Bonnet cut?
Can anyone tell me the difference between the GQ cooler and the Ultimate Cooler for the GU? Other than $400? Struggling?
Maybe these variations in noise are more to do with the other things done to the rig, as stropp mentioned "no noise" but I can see he has a 4inch snorkel, I'm guessing then the air box and Inlet to turbo is upgraded. I wonder if this would make the difference. Also with the top mound there is very little pipe between the cooler and inlet, add to that the fan which I believe runs off of the radiator temp and it being sooo close to the driver could add to the noise when running.
Also as someone who lives in adelaide I'd like to think a lot of the issues people are having are a result of the demand on cross country, I drive past quite regularly and I don't reckon I've ever seen the car park less than 110% full, I'm sure there's cars parked across the road to, hopefully it's something they can address but when they cover so much like car servicing and pre trip checks I can see why they're so swamped. To popular to quick me thinks.
I'm happy with the extra noise especially coz mine goes better
Hi @MudRunnerTD
I bought mine thru United Fuel Injection in Perth after an industry recommendation (for UFI, not CC that is) Seem to be a good bunch there - you may be able to get a few answers out of them if CC are too busy...
My GU Ultimate kit still in box 2.5years on! Can PM u photo of contents if u want.
Scoop is colour coded if you have a white vehicle! Pretty sure it was going to be sprayed after install for extra dollars if I didn't fit it myself. UFI informed me the kit came with a template, although they combine this with some marker tape on the sills around the engine bay, so you know where to cut bonnet. This probably means you need to fit intercooler, mark the sills with masking tape, remove cooler (so you can close bonnet fully), mark bonnet using tape guides and then remove bonnet and put the template on for "best fit" around the marks. Then break out the angle grinder (or hand over to a panel beater...). Then put it all back together! Easy as! (in theory...)
