Okay so what you're telling me is that this beast AND a duramax are within 15 mins from home and I didn't know about it? We're doing a forum trip to Aberfeldy on Australia Day weekend, base camp at O'tooles.

There are a few duramax powered patrol conversions going on in the area atm. vince has had his for around a year. cloughy is building one, alans built one,
This white GU is my daily. iv gotta finish the conversion on my 06 TD42ti to automatic. once thats finished and i sell it, ill sink the money onto the duramax.
aberfeldy you say? i might come up for a look.
Would be great to see you up there mate just as long as you have the duramax by then LMAO!
Last year i had series I and II GQ's and series I, II, III, and IV GU's.
this is the guiv im converting atm.
Attachment 24125

Attachment 24126
This a basher i did early last year too.
Mate you're out of control... Me likey!
glad it entertains. should mention im a huge fan of the 4.2's. but iv still had 2 zd30's, and a rb30, and had a rd28 gu last year.
I sold my factory GUIV TD42TI ST-L nov year before last that i siorta' wish i still had.
been happy to move on from all the others.
Usual Stuff. just love the shape.
4.6's, arb airlockers F&R, 35's, arb barwork, stereo, lift, uhf, exhaust, etc.
So I'd hazard a guess that you aren't overly keen on Patrols then???!!!!. ;)
Don't stroke it, TAP it!!!!.....
Jacket we will have to go for a play one day!
Where do you normally go for a bash?
loads of fun to be had out near the old prison farm on morwell river rd when its wet. some good stuff out off livingston too.
Im having a daytrip down here with a few from melb, beginning of feb by the look of it, youre welcome to join us. . . .
This is from out there.
Bought my GUIV home from the workshop today.
Is this the duramax?
Love the posts and pics. Some really nice looking photos with great scenery you have there.
Man ya got some stuff happenin hahahahhaha im confused (not hard to do )
[QUOTE=Jacket_1985;315373]cheers mate. no duramax in this one. its getting a 95,000km td42 and auto, with a wholesale automatics computer system.
Not this one, Duramax is next project.
Racebred4x4know where you are now
my new airlocker solenoids arrived, so did my 150psi pressure switch. im going to move my compressor to the boot. too flamin' hot under the bonnet.
Bloody transport company. . . . . my fuel pump arrived on the 28th of dec, it sat at the depot for 2 days, no call, no delivery, and they sent it back without telling me. . . .
its on its way again from WA. . . . . this time ill make a concerted effort to intercept it while its in the area since toll obviously aren't competent enough to deliver it.
Oh god you'll never see the bloody thing now
great read and pics, you certainly seem to love the patrol's.
Intercooler fitted. I bought SFS silicone joiners thismorning, not cheap stuff, last time they cost me $14 an inch!!! this time i ebay'd em. . . . .
1x 100mm long straight hose 102mm ID.
1x 500mm long straight hose 76mm ID.
1x 90 degree reducing bend 102mm-89mm ID.
1x 90 degree reducing bend 76mm-51mm ID.
1x 90 degree bend 102mm ID.
Im running 3inch intercooler pipes all the way. im buying the stainless bends and cutting into shape, and the fella that made my snorkel is welding them, it will look better if he does it:harhar:.
So pulled bullbar back off,
iv flipped the power steering cooler, mounted it behind Intercooler. and just run flexy pipe to the pump i got from enzed
i got new brackets made up to mount cooler a few mm further forward and higher. cooler is now in its final position.
all AC lines cleared perfectly, its bang in the middle, as high as possible and a good depth forward/back.
Next step is to cut the bullbar brackets some more thisavo to get it to clear the 3in cooler pipework. then ill start chopping holes to run the pipes through the Rad support panels.
Iv already taken the PS pipes outta the way and horns etc, shouldnt be to hard.
What you reckon? cut the entire wings off or just cut holes?
Wings off i rekon
If it was mine i would cut holes,a pain in the butt, seems like you have it sorted
are you sure your far enough forward for any debris to clear or be cleared
between the rad and cooler,i know you like mud is this going to be a problem with the cooler
PS cooler now mounted behind Intercooler. and set in its final position. very close to winch. very close to air-con line on drivers side. good height. should have maximum airflow.
