It doesn't take much to stack the weight on these babies. Yours could be considered almost stock compared to a lot of other rigs!

Are the utes 100kg more?
I thought I read my 08 wagon was only 3050kg?
But I'm glad I have the gmv upgrade now..
Would have died I think if I saw the gq' weight for the round trip we did a few years back to the high country..
That was
33" tyres
Steel bar
Steel roof rack
40kg tent
75L of water
115L of fuel
Draws
Fridge
Recovery gear
Pantry
Chairs
Cooking gear
Gas bottle
Stove
Food
Kids bikes
Fishing gear
Chainsaw + fuel
I think you get the picture lol..
Leaf GU utes have a GVM of 3400kg
Mine has a VicRoads listed Tare of 3400kg & a GVM of 3900kg
Actual Tare is less.
Fully laden with all camping gear, food & everything else for long term travel, including around 210 litres water, 180 litres fuel, two spares, towball weight of Tvan & two people weight should be around 3500kg to 3600kg. (Was 3700kg when rooftop tent was fitted). Some other minor weight reduction plus rationalisation of weight distribution between vehicle & Tvan has occurred since then & haven't re-weighed it.
Insurance is very specific in stating that no cover if overweight.
I dont think Rafa's was that heavy but it couldn't handle constant outback travel.
the replacement was bombproof carried all his extra's and returned very good
fuel figures.
Not a fan of travelling heavy as it brings so many other things into play,
saying that you still need to travel safe and not rely on other ppl unless its
something beyond your control.
My friend Ron travels the world in his extended dual cab 4.2 TD GU
and fully loaded for a CSR trip he maxes out just shy of 4t that's with 270 ltrs
of water and about the same in fuel, In this guise he's travelled Mongolia, Africa
and countless Cape trips and the Simmo.
Il have to ask what his GMV is being a dual cab
With over 500kg of weight being used as any trip progress's he probably tips the scales
at about 3200 empty

3,080kg here in daily runabout mode.... That's with half a tank of fuel and only me sitting in it. When I saw this I did go the Jenny Craig option on it, and as a result hasn't weighed it since, probably took 50-60kg out of it.
i guess its my turn to make all you guys feel heavy. I weighed my troll with steel bull bar, steel roof rack, no lift on 32s duel fuel with about half tanks on both. it weighed in at 2.2t. thats largly because of the alloy motor in it. the tb/td motors really are ridiculously heavy.
Hey John. Know of any places around our side of town where I could go for a weigh in? I'm curious to see how fat my Patrol is.
