Why it's a good idea to throw your eye around the engine bay once in a while

My spare fan is off a TB42e, I just swapped the lot over, viscous fan & all. Peter do bad?

Nah your right Pete. . As long as you change it is a whole unit.

You need to make sure the bugger works though as I have had a bad run on viscous fans. ..

Its amazes me when looking over to engine bay how many spanners an sockets you can see
that mechanics have lost during services

Don't throw out that viscous hub Pete coz it looks like a serviceable one

I always try my best to ensure a mechanic left nothing in engine bay. It would make serious damage to radiators and fan.

One of the worst mechanics I ever had left tools all the time.....

The odd tool can be expected but this was a silly amount.

I found a 500mm long pry bar under the bonnet once!!!

Just read Patrol2.8's thread , he drove into a bog hole and his fan exploded,
lucky for him no damage was done to the radiator. This should be checked
by all GQ owners and even GU owners
