It's a lot easier to fix the bad earthing problem. When ever your in an engine bay and come across a grounding take 5 minutes to undo it file sand the contacts . I use a die grinder to clean the grounding point and a file fro the terminal. bolt back together spray over it with paint.
extra earth always a good thing do one to the body and one to the motor, bad earth can equate to computer burnout = intelligent question 26. kev
I was along the lines of Cuppa and Co.
having some spare cable and lugs lying around.
So I think I'll whip some up and fit them
Would you connect the new earth straps from the battery? Sound like a good idea, I also have some spare cable at home.
Yes from battery to block and Battery to chassis picking up any existing bolt holes I can find.
sand them back to bare metal fit and spray with terminal spray.
Now that your question has effectively been answered, what were the other 25 dumb questions? I'm well qualified to answer dumb questions!!!
Ah I've been caught out, think mego had a thread stupid question such n such,
feel free to answer the other 25 though lol

G'day Doggy,
dunno much about volty stuff but am wondering why you'd bother.
If you had an electrical fault, you'd need to sort it, earth or anything else.
If you didn't, then a good earth can't be made more gooderer, can it? Suspect it's one of those things which if working perfectly, can't be inproved.
Still, if it keeps you off the streets and out of the wifes hair it's worth trying.
Cheers
Col
