Same colour as the bars gets my vote too.
Ties it all together as one unit and as BR said makes for easy touch up.

Can't wait for the front bar now! Will tie in very nicely me thinks!!
Thats the stuff mate, looks much neater now...Me like!!!
nice work Scotty, I must admit I was a little sceptical of the checkerplate when I first saw it but it all ties in nicely now it's all done. Nice work mate.
Nice job Scotty. It has come up a treat. Next your flash new custom front bar then we go visit DhuckRig Industries Pty Ltd to set you up with some rock sliders. Beastly
top job mate looks like a bought one .....only better!!!!!!
so when did you say your doing mine again hahahaha
This truck def needs to be called Sherman!
It's a nice rig mate.. whats the next project?
lol ... thanks mate! Next on the agenda for me is the sliders - front custom tube bar goes on sometime in the next week when finished, I'll do the sliders, gotta build the Ironman drawer system and install it when the wings arrive (bought and paid for, just not all of it has arrived), and then ... well ... who's to know!! lmao ... the front bar is winch compatible, so getting one has moved up the priority list, and the LPG is getting pulled out over the coming weeks with a 140 litre long ranger going into it (will give me 212 litres on board), and then finally the engine rebuild and super charger which is sort of scheduled for August ...
Then it's only the new tyres (going 305/70's to get a bit more traction), the front camera mount (have a reverse camera which I'm going to 'retrofit' in the front so I can take video from the bullbar), and the front seats to be re-padded and re-lined to accommodate my larger bottom half!!!
Wishing you hadn't asked now??!! LMFAO!!!!
Thats the crack mate come up real nice! What breed of front bar are you going?
He reckons fully tweaked as such, the engine alone should be doing about 140 kilowatts (124 or something off the showroom floor I think, but even if wrong, certainly nowhere near 140). With the super charger, he's banking on over 200!!
With that, probably looking at about a 30-40% increase in original torque also!
That's enough for me.
Play it by ear mate - it was a reconditioned unit about 18 months ago, so hopefully up to the task!!
Another happy snap as I was walking to the carpark today ... it's definitely better than what was on it - even if done by an amateur!! lol

I give the GQ 5 stars but jeez man that car parking effort is a lazy half star...LMAO:bananarock:
is this what you had in mind for the front bar ????
sorry first one didnt work
i would extend the whinch section at the bar past the vertical middle section
The bar is essentially this one with headlight hoops, and a wider centre hoop to fit the 4 spotties ...

ok then i like the other one better but your rig do it your way im sure the end result will be fantastic judging by the rear bar hahaha
I like the other one as well - but its not what I'm getting. It'll be a damn sight better than the rear I'd suggest - he does it for a living, mine was a hack - but at the end of the day, cost me a grand total of $155 in steel etc. The front isn't something I'd even attempt ... on my rig anyway!!! LOL
I want one of these guys bars http://www.millweld.com/a/Winch_Bars
They look awesome. Much better than the half finished effort of mine under the house.
