I went in showed my receipt and filled out a quick form then drove around to the inspection bay and had the engine number viewed... too easy and as Daz would say "Happy Days"
The girl at Vic Roads was talking to me for ages and was even showing me pics of her boyfriends GU and GQ....

It's pretty subtle I'd say. It says "DTS Turbo Systems" on the airbox though.

Its not a rwc its just a viewing of the engine numbers.. The dts kit is a tidy bit of gear and not out of place.
The girl who did my paperwork said the things not lifted off its head so high that she cant get into the engine bay to see the numbers... ha ha ha

I actually didn't take mine off either so I can't talk but I was nervous....lol
For the sake of a few hours though to convert back to NA if you can do it easily then I would do it.
If its a monumental nightmare then do the gauntlet.
Looks fantastic mate, really well done. You'll love it even more once it's turboed. Have you put much thought into what turbo kit you'll run?
I didn't realize they were with GQ's. Hopefully it won't be an issue.
My local is the Bundoora/Uni Hill one. They seem pretty relaxed every time I've been there. I don't have any NA parts at all, including exhaust. I think I'll just roll the dice.
Like BA mentioned, unless it's jacked up like crazy hopefully it will be fine. She's nothing over the top. Only 3" and 35's.

Well kids this is why I went NA first then after its official I fit the turbo.... much easier and less stress.

You should be right mate, I'm always paranoid.
I had my 3" straight through, turbo and many other goodies and literally idled into the pits.
Started general convo with the bloke, it was raining though and he just wanted to be back inside in his warm office so it was a perfect situation!

Change rego from me to me pty ltd.
When I did that there was an issue with my engine number.
Basically Vicroads had misspelt a letter in my engine number from its first registration in 1990 and they only picked up on it when I tried to do a simple transfer and it had to come in to the pits.
There's a thread here somewhere about it.
I remember now, they thought it was a filthy petrol! Haha

Not the td42 Mark but the GQ did not come with a turbo.
So tempted to take the car out today but I have to be a good boy and get back into the Bluebird... One thing I will need to sort is the aircon, I dont have the proper lines and the efi ones hit the alternator.
I cannot go without aircon and the family will not want to go away on trips if it is not working so if anyone knows of or comes across aircon lines let me know please.
Can you please send me a picture of the aircon line ends?
I have 3 compressors and 2 that I know are good that have completely different fittings... the efi one the lines clamp down together but the other one has independent lines threaded in.. I will get a photo later.

I had all engine bay orings changed, new receiver dryer, new compressor to firewall and compressor to condensor lines made and a regas/leak test for $421.
Exhaust question... 3 inch straight through... hot dog... muffler.... ????
