I need basically the same thing for the same model laptop... but I usually just leave it plugged in, but if I unplug it then it will drain in less than 5 mins.

its fooooked then.
damn good laptops though hey? Theyre still selling lesser models here for more than what i paid for mine 2 years ago.
Three of us got these lappys and im the last one to need a battery. I think its because i charge till full then unplug and drain till around %9 then charge again. My mates just leave them plugged in or never let them fully charge or go on, off, on, off with the charging and i think its why their batteries died quick.
Having said all that though, my battery seems good now:)
My lappy an asus is having issues (possibly the operator)
For no reason none of my USB ports work. It says they're activated but they don't work. One day they did next they didn't tried the troubleshoot but says they're ok
WTF it's newish so got warranty but before I go and be an AB and be a bully boy I'd like to see if there is an easy fix
hahahahahaha all that chilli is catching up!
As other's have mentioned, check your network settings to see if they are communicating properly. Could also re-install the operating software for the printer including drivers.
I have an Epson Workforce 545 that is wifi and is permenantly connected to the modem and will link with pc when needed and has a constant wifi link to my phones and tablets as well.
It could also be your modem / router as well. Try recycling it - turn off for a minute and then on again - to remove the build up of any data packets which can cause it to slow down and "drop connection" as well to see if that fixes things
I've pressed restore to see what'll happen so fingers crossed.............
Is smoke meant to come out??
X 2.
I will probably be because the automatic IP address leased to it via the DHCP server in your router has a problem when your printer goes into standby.
I would definitely be reading the manual and allocating a static IP address to the printer (via printer settings). Make sure you set it beyond the IP range of the DHCP table in your router (modem).
Post up your printer and router model and I'll see how I go stepping you though the process.
Tip tip tip......tap tap tap....
OK so i downloaded a manual and i got a pop up saying that my Win Zip was expired and would i like to purchase it. Well i must have originally just got a trial version from somewhere when i downloaded the gq manual last year. So what do i do? I dont wanna pay for dat sh1t! Ill more than likely only use it once in the next year or so.
Is there anyway to unZip the GU manual without purchasing WinZip???
(Ive got good, fast internet so i reckon it wouldnt take long to download an unzipped file if one was available)
Try this Lucas
http://winzip.com/win/en/prodpagewz-...0WinZip%20Free
7zip Lucas.....Then you can make and extract RAR files, way better then winzip and zip files.
I can compress 200mb 3dmax files down to about 10mb.
Anyone else having problems with Firefox?
This might be a coincidence but ever since around about the time I did an automatic update with Firefox I have been having issues online. Firstly it takes a long time to start up firefox now. It does weird stuff like when I click on the icon nothing happens so I wait a minute then click again and nothing happens so I do it again and after two minutes or so the program launches 3 times.
Basically all the internet sites through firefox have turned really slow, just like I went back to dial up internet. But it seems to slowly speed back up after 15-20 minutes.
Getting onto YouTube is so unbearably slow for the first ten minutes. It's like theres a heap of processes going on in the background and it's getting worse every time. If I try to click on something or scroll down it says "Firefox is not responding". It now keeps popping up that the plugin called "shockwave" has is not working.
So I should start with getting shockwave working? How do I do that? Is there some kind of refresh I can do to firefox? Or should I just remove and reinstall it?
Also on start up and shut down my computer has been running it's own automatic updates. It's always done it from time to time but lately it's been doing it daily.
I had the exact same issues about a week ago. Exactly the same as above!
I gave up and now back on chrome.
X2 now use IE. I know it is a elephant but it works LOL
It happens with Chrome as well, I have been experiencing the same issue on chrome within the last month or so. I haven't really bothered trying to fix it.
Lucas I have not read this thread in its entirety but it might help you with fixing the issue: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/960315
Awesome, I'll give that a try. I'm fairly certain it only started effing up about a month ago just after I did an update to the latest version lol. I'll give the uninstal/reinstall a go later. Lol its the modern day equivalent of turning it off and back on again
I'm uninstalling heaps of crap that's built up over time. Hopefully that'll free up the lappy. Then I'll install the latest version of Firefox. Firefox should come with all the plugins that it needs? (such as shockwave?) or seeing how I should already have the latest Firefox, would it be better just to update shockwave first and see how it goes?
When updating Firefox last month it did a scan to make sure it was compatible with all existing plugins. Could this be where the problems with shockwave started?
You'll probably find its not the browser that fas the issue but one of the plugins. I had the same issue with chrome last week. Turned out to be the Skype plugin, so uninstalled it and now is all good.
I don't know why it's like now but Firefox used to be quite a memory sapping pig if a thing.
Ok so eff all difference.....
Its still struggling badly to play YouTube.
I've got the latest version of firefox. (as automatically updated last month).
I've just downloaded the latest shockwave flash, installed and restarted the computer.
I try to go on YouTube and it gives me the same error message as before which is: shockwave plugin is unresponsive. Click this to stop plugin or click this to continue..
My computer in general has slowed down heaps in the last month. Ive run the Microsoft security essentials scan and its found nothing wrong.
Just use google chrome... Haha
Are you still runnung the nissanpatrol.com.au screen saver Lucas *LMAO*
I don't know what's going on. Getting fu$king pissed off though. The laptop (including Firefox) has run lightning fast and perfectly up to about a month ago when it started slowing down. In the last few days it's been beyond a joke!
It just took 8 minutes to open Firefox and go to YouTube and once there wouldn't play a video because the shockwave plugin is still effed.
Everything is going really slow. It takes about 8 minutes for the damn thing to start up.
I've scanned it, it's fine. Removed a heap of old programs(not important ones, just games and stuff).
I have a powered 1TB storage with all my pics backed up so I just tried to plug it in to backup the latest few folders but the computer won't even recognise its plugged in!
