ok could be a driver issue with your computer, perhaps the modem needs a firmaware upgrade, but we can go through a few things and change some settings im sure i can sort ya out mate
It's an old clunky xp too...lol....I desperately need a new computer!
Hi mate - for what it's worth (and you've given AB the command to find his default gateway) Telstra uses weird random addresses for their gateway - mine for example is 192.168.1.68??? The issue may well be related to 802.11n be set as default - I have seen this as an issue many times particularly with iPhones and older PCs.

Thanks for the bump Clunk
Nic, the Bluestacks I am referring 2 is actually an Android emulator for PC so I can run Mobile Apps for the kids on the PC
http://www.bluestacks.com/
For the time being I have given up trying to get the software 2 work :(
What is that little eye symbol at the right hand side of the password box when I sign in? It sometimes appears and disappears.
What is the latest on MC App for Android Phones going ?????????????????
This is it. I'm on a pc using windows.
Could it be something to click on so that the computer remembers your password?
Do you have to type your password every time or just click in the box and the password appears (shown as dots)?
Sorry mate, never seen it, what Browser are you???
If you move your cursor over it does it do anything? Can you click on it?
Might have something to do with a anti virus program you are running, or some type of remember passwords software if you are running anything like that
Cheers
Todd
Still full of bugs I believe Bob: http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...torculture-App
It does nothing, but it fades out, it took a couple of goes to capture it. I use internet explorer. I just noticed it two days ago, I'm not providing entertainment am I. I have to type the password each time.
IE10? Sorry does not compute. I'm a bit of a noob haha
Oh yeah, *facepalm* it works when holding the button. I'll crawl back into the corner and put the pointy hat back on.
yeah but its not the browser, its from HP itself. The "remember me" button is from the website, the drop down "always remember this password" is from HP. It also has a small icon that pops up whenever you put a password in. If you click on the icon then it starts the password manager thingy. On my lappy its all to do with the fingerprint scanner. I can use the fingerprint scanner to substitue for a written password on any website or login procedure
Help, I keep having to log in, each time I go from one page to the next....
Nah forget it, it has stopped now,. Wierd
HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My bloody computer has slowed down again, well the internet anyway.
I have managed to get access to my default gateway....Thompson TG782T
I also have a static IP so not sure if that makes a difference or not.
When I first logged in I saw that Andy-PC was there twice in the network so I deleted the one that didn't have an IP associated with it so now here are the connections to the modem.
Ethernet = Andy-PC
Wireless = Andy-Iphone, Leah Phone, Andy Ipad and NETGEM-569563 which is our T-Box.
Everything else on the wireless runs fine and fast. The PC is just ridiculously slow using the internet.
You can watch it freeze for 5-10 seconds then work fine for 3 seconds then freeze for another 5-10 seconds.
I just did a speed test and it pinged at 35ms.....Upload was 4.94mbps and upload was only 0.32mbps.
It took while to even get on here and type this...lol
Does anyone know what I can do or any more tests I can do to try and fix this problem?
I also have Trend micro....I just disabled it and the computer seems to run better...lol
Well that was an easy fix....Thanks for all your help blokes....bahaha
I only installed this a couple of months ago and it all worked fine...Why did it suddenly start to cause issues now????
No I had this whole thing reformatted so nothing at all..
So at the moment I only have standard Windows Firewall on.
It's running beautiful right now.....
I'm having trouble with my wireless laptop talking to my wireless printer. If I don't use the printer for a while, it seems to go 'off line' and I have to ring up Telstra to fix it. They re-install the program, but I don't believe I should have to do that. The print jobs just keep queing up. Please help me solve this and I will be your bestest friend - forever. lol
What O/s are you using and what brand and model printer is it? I'm guessing your printer, it has a dynamic IP address which takes it offline when it cycles through its IP addresses, and is not being seen by the network. You will need to get into the settings of the printer and manually set the IP address of the printer. How? depending on the printer but usually there will be a settings tab and find an option that may say sometihng like "choose or setup up network". It will be in there somewhere.
There is an option somewhere in your setting to print off the network settings, which will show what IP address is currently being used. Then use that as your permanent IP address when you go into the network settings.
I think my laptop needs a new battery. In a search ive come up with 6 cell and 12 cell. Which is better? Theres a fair bit of difference in price for pretty much the same thing. Is there any brand thats better or is it basically you get what you pay for??
