If its to just run as a compressor for tyres and other stuff, its fine. For lockers, not fine.
I had mine in the back (tyres etc only) and its fine. Can get in the way if you have bulky things you need to put in the back

Be a noisy annoyance under the seat, wouldn't it?
I have my compressor in the rear side wing of my drawers. I get no voltage drop to there with 6 B&S cable from my aux bat. I can't see why you'd get less airflow with the compressor in the rear?
Surely that is relative to voltage drop or current resistance and if you ran sufficient enough cable then it wouldn't affect compressor output?? As I said with my 6 B&S cable voltage drop is negligible to my rear drawers, and my ARB high output compressor seems to run no dramas. Interested to know if there is a possibility of my compressor not running as efficient though.

I already have 2 b&s running to my rear and agree it surely would not see much drop if any at all.
I'm thinking of mounting mine exactly where yours is too after checking out my engine bay today I just can't see it fitting anywhere.
Just noticed my piranha management system is flashing red lights which means I have an electrical problem in my vehicle. I have gone over everything this arvo and pretty sure nothing is wrong which means the system may have shat itself!!!
Ill ring piranha this week anyway, those guys have exceptional after sales service!
I love finding new problems!!!
I could only imagine that 2 B&S would definitely have no issues....
I have a piranha system too, and agree with the after sales service. Whenever I've called them they were always happy to help out. The only thing I'm not a fan of is it doesn't have a link/connect for the batteries.
Has yours ever had the 2 LED red flashes going?
I am 99.9999% sure my electrical system is spot on and cannot find a fault anywhere....This did happen a few years ago and the problem was with the battery management system. No questions asked they replaced it and even re wired it a bit better for me.
They really do look after their customers!
I took the car to work today and was planning to take it to piranha but now it's all working fine...
More things are in progress to crossing off my list!
I'm guessing rear quarter chop blanking plates.....
Nice plates !!!!
Good news about the rad, must have been that big bog hole. No more bog holes . . Nah that 'll never happen!!!
Aaaaaggghhhhh!
Why does everyone want to do a quarter chop?
I much prefer my GQ's without the rear chop. It was really pissing me off when I was looking for a TD42 earlier, there were some mint examples that had a qtr chop.....damn.....

Quarter chops are cool!!!
Nah seriously rear quarters are pretty vulnerable, chop and good bar they are well protected and match up well with the front.
Having said that there are dodgy examples tho.
No! Quarter chop, I will not....

Late night crappy AB photo time!
Relocated the switchboard the old man made for me to face forward, hundred times easier to use now!
Installed the arb compressor on top with easy reach and usability.
Picture below is crap at this time of night but works well and easy access and storage of hose, etc.
Rewiring everything was not fun....
Crossing off my list and bumping for me...lol
New km2
High mount rebuild install and fairlead, rope and controller

Love the switchboard idea!
hey champ where did you get the rear quarter plates from? Is it something you can buy of the shelf or did you have them made up?
Yep!! Bloody technology, there's too much going on!!
In case your wondering AB just texted the post instead of posting. Ha ha!
I said to myself I better text Rossco letting him know of the question asked, then went to messaging, then thought I better write the message in the forum first so Rossco doesn't jump on the forum and say wtf.
Had a swig of beer then looked at the phone and started typing thinking I was on the forum...lol
Oh lord please give me strength and health during these busy times!!!
Anyways, here's a link to their plates and some other stuff. Their rear control arms look pretty cool.
