Maybe, maybe not. But they will move the steering due to how much water they are trying to displace especially if one side hits a puddle and not the other.

You should mouse those shackle pins, so they don't come loose and bounce into other vehicle or just lose them

Yeah but a bastard to put on if you're up to your nuts in mud. Understand the grunt machine will most likely never find itself in such a place :)

Old pic. Put up for display purposes only. lol.
I've taken them off completely and they're in my recovery kit.
Thanks for your caring and sharing concern. lol

On-board shower
http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...psgqod7bmz.jpg
Shower hooked up to 45lt water tank. Manual hose connected to other 45lt water tank.
On the other side of tanks, both are hooked up as a dual system so that water pumps evenly out of both tanks, simultaneously. Once both tanks are drained, I'll change the shower over to the back tank, to tidy up the hoses - my bad.

I'm not normally a statistical person, but since I put all the new pics up of DX grunt .....in the flesh, there have been 126 views in a 24hr period.
Thank you to the 'viewers'. Hope you've enjoyed and have got some ideas. I'm still open to ideas, too, so feel free to tell me about what you're doing to modify your vehicle into a camper.
If you want to know the brand names of what I have used, please PM me.
I've got a few more pics to follow, and they're about my lighting. I want to get some night time pics of 'the full night time monty', but I'm having a couple of technical issues. lol
As well as pics, I'd like to get a drone up there for some action shots, but I don't think they're allowed out at night. lol
Take care out there.
Rossco
I thought I lost all these pics, but here he is .....in the flesh!
DX grunt’s annex and awning
I reverse my Patrol in, so it sits side by side, and I just clip the press studs onto the bottom of the pod’s tray.
http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...xawning040.jpg[/QUOTE]
The top of the ‘structure’ that is permanently mounted to the Patrol and stabilizes the annex.
http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...hatsnew001.jpg
http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...hatsnew002.jpg
The annex’s back door.
http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...xawning032.jpg
We can separate the PVC area (shower/toilet area) from the ‘living room’
http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...xawning020.jpg
Fully set up, the skirting clips into the bottom of the pod, and I use tent pegs to secure it to the ground.
http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...xawning023.jpg
Press studs that clip the bottom skirting on. Not cheap, but well worth the expense.
http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...xawning028.jpg
Ventilation for the shower. It has 2 of these – with the other down the other end
http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...xawning026.jpg
Annex up, left hand pod door, down.
http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...xawning029.jpg
Many of these are old pics before the mods, but I think you all get the idea.
More to follow.
Inside the ‘living room’. Left hand pod door down, annex down. This configuration means I can ‘drive out, reverse in’. It gets a bit tricky on sand because the press studs don’t always line up. Lol
http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...xawning030.jpg
Living area/bathroom. Got sandfly proof netting. Can’t see in during daylight.
http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...xawning024.jpg
Back of awning looking forward. It was a bit squashy setting up in my front yard. Lol
http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...xawning016.jpg
Lots of tent poles required. Lol

So how long does it take for you to set up now Grunter?
I've lost some storage space in the dash, but I've gained space for 7 Narva rocker switches.
I'm transferring all 7 switches from the gear stick cowling to the dashboard. It looks much more professional.
The auto leckie is going to do the work on Thursday.
http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...pspgzzsurp.jpg
Rossco
The finished product. I'm so happy.
7 Narva Rocker Switches fitted into the 'old storage compartment' just as the doctor ordered. lol
http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...psj0nyigto.jpg
The only thing if you could call it 'wrong' is that Narva need a bit more flexibility with the naming of their rocker switches.
From left to right is.... Rear left spottie, 2 x left side roof lights, oven, DVD player, sand flag, 2 x right side roof lights, rear right spottie.
I also replaced the plastic/leather around the gearsticks.
$145 later........ That was replaced too. It looks n@ked without all the holes in the plastic. lol - but worth it.
Got 2 x rocker switches for the LED light bars. Just waiting for the shipment to come in from Lights, and I'll have more pics. lol.
I've got the 200w, 40" Aurora, just waiting on the 37", 230w Extreme. Gunna keep both, at the moment, until I do some testing.
Take care out there.
Rossco
Edit.....I've sent an email to Narva, requesting more rocker switches with different names/stickers for the blank switches.
Nearly got as many rocker switches as aerials now Ross....hahahahaha
Buy one of these and stop complaining. ;)

Here’s a taste of my lighting set up.
Der, me !!! I forgot to turn the flash off. Bwhaaaaaa.
When I unpack my truck, I’ll give you almost the full monty without the flash. PML.
I have a reversing light too, but attached is a beeper, and a caravan park, at night, is not the best place to get a pic of it.
My new 37” light bar is on the way!. Thanks @Lights – then there’ll be more pics. lol

Looking good mate!
I won't be after the postie drops off my 37", 320w light bar. lol.

With all those lights and aerials I think NASA has just found their new Lunar Rover! The only man-made object on the moon visible from earth!!
