X2 mate, same thing happened to timbo with his 2.8 from dealer after heavy conversations dealer fixed it. If private sale I'd be paying a visit mate if it's cooked. I hope its not bad and not a temp fix bud!!!!!!!

My mate who is a Patrol whisperer reckons its a common thing with GQ's of a certain age if its the original one.
Cost me a couple of hundred to fix.
Dunno if its the same for GU's

Damn it Healy, Really sorry to hear that bud. Have you had a Quote for that? did you pay top dollar for the GU? Have you called teh bloke and called him a Dog yet? He certainly deserves a Call at a minimum... He probably wont give a crap but it will make you feel better.

I'd be inclined to stop the Cheque mate! You can and Should.

Looking around the 2g to do the head etc plus radiator yeah we spoke to him denies it but have found out that he is sort of mates with a family member he will get his own one day cost 10 for the car and I think I have seen the worst aftermarket wire set up in my life stripped all of it out back to a stock gu now it's just down to patients and money now

Best of luck Healy! I know what it's like. Cost me 5k to rebuild my 2.8ltr after the dealer kicked in the other 2.5k (7.5k rebuild total). He only complied when I threatened to drive it through his shop window at Car C!ty. Head had no less than 17 cracks in it the mechanic told me.

Second day back on the job and already want to curl into a ball and stay in bed??? On the way to Toorak this morning I had a moment of clarity and could feel that calm felling of heading off all fully packed traveling down the highway in convoy...!!!

Roofy dont know about firewood mate as it is a total fire ban is it not???

I will be bringing 2 marques with me and setting up all comfy... just hope there is no bloody bush fire as I will be leaving a lot of crap behind???
