Terowie 4WD Park

Spent the weekend with a large group from 4x4Earth, driving the many tracks at Terowie 4WD Park.

The park is in the hills about 6kms NW of Terowie, South Australia (a small town on the Barrier Highway).

Had a great time despite the near zero overnight temperatures. Drove some tracks, climbed some hills and enjoyed the scenery.

Hi AJoz. Is the 4WD park the Hopes Gully property? If so, have they done anything with the amenities?
Our club was there in June 2012 just after they opened and everything was pretty basic. It needed some investment (decent drop toilets for a start) but the property was quite beautiful. I enjoyed the trip. We did not stay on that property but at a free camping spot in Appila springs and yeah, it was the coldest I have ever been at night. All the heat just disappeared up into the sky.

Now I recognise that Trakta!

Yep, Hopes Gully. I just visited your Touring blog and I can remember that creek bed and all the rocks. Also driving up and down the banks. Had a ball.
I think it's time our club (Nissan Patrol of SA) went there again with some of the new members.
