MTQ in Dandenong are Fuel specialists and have a good dyno. Give them a bell they will be much closer than lilydale

Diesel Tech in Lilydale has a pretty good name with this sort of stuff. Unsure how far it is from you though.

I have just got hold of a Warn 9.5, "best winch" according to 4WD action, actually came 3rd due to price... mmmmm
Any way it didn't fit between the chassis rails in a OEM Nissan bar. Got a cradle...

Real of thumb is try to go with a winch thats made here in Oz built for Aussie conditions. The cheaper overseas ones ie. the chines ones are generally exactly that cheap but if used correctly can do...

Having seen first hand how much crud builds up in the inlet I would definately leave it blocked and fit the catch can ASAP.

OK... very little info but sounds like it is spooling up too quick and/or overboosting and going into limp maybe? How did you go about setting up the VNT Actuator?
You could try just backing off...
