Gearbox is different. You will need one to suit the 4.2. If you can get away with retaining the 2.8 transfer all good, if not the you may have to do some flange swapping.

The drive train on the 2.8 and the 4.2 are identical but as BA noted the diff ratios are different. The 2.8 runs factory 4.6 diffs which are highly sort after for those wanting to run larger tyres. I...

Dont think anything needs beefing up but gearbox and diff ratios may need looking into.
