View Full Version : Low boost after fitting Dawes Value

after fitting my Dawes value not getting levels over 9-10 boost, mostly 9. have wound it pretty close to the end (see Attached). Just wondering how far i need to go.

Have you blocked the EGR? apart from being good for the engine, it tends to raise the boost.

Did you have more boost before fitting it? Could be the turbo itself?

EGR: no i haven't blocked it.

Yes more boost before fitting up to the usual GU3.0L reading of 16.

Going to try winding right to the end of the thread and see how it goes.

Now i think about it, mine was really low. I have mine all the way in and even stretched the spring a little.

Don't quote me but that looks like it is set up wrong.. Where are you tapping off your boost pressure? It maybe you have tapped your boost differently to most and that is configuring your plumbing different. I have my boost coming from the inlet to the intercooler from the pipe between the turbo and the I/cooler. For your set up to be ok it would seem your boost line is coming from infront of your I/cooler. Will try to get you a picky. Hang ten.

This is the one out of my truck. Notice how tight i had to screw mine up. Take it easy and it as many small adjustments not one or two big ones. Have you checked out Chaz's info???
