For those here that use the VIC/NSW high country for adventures and have a Face Book account, go the the VICTORIANS AGAINST THE ‘GREAT FOREST NATIONAL PARK’ group. If the VIC gove gets away with this you can say goodbye to 4X4 adventures up there.
If you like what they are trying to do. Then dont. :)

Yep it’s extremely concerning what the potential impact would be to our state forests.
This cannot happen.

From the page..
Carly , From my understanding the current GF Nat park Park proposal is to add 355,000 hectares to the 170,000 hectares of national parks from Marysville to Eildon through Baw Baw . I thought originally they also wanted to join them up with the Alpine Nat park all the way towards Cann river . So my question is the current proposal just stage 1 of their larger plan ??
Yes, you are correct.
This is bigger than one national park… this is the beginning of a huge movement against the people of Australia and is being orchestrated by our Government to appease the UN.

Guy Layton great map, everyone should take a close look at it. Basically between the two 'consultations', and those finished for Strathbogie and Mirboo all of the high country, all of the forests east of the Hume Freeway are up for grabs. The stakes are incredibly high.

This is what happens when too many people in a 1st world country on government payments for themselves and their families have again too much time on their hands and can apply serious voting pressure [emoji22]
The rest of us are too busy, working, paying taxes for them ans their problem finding missions [emoji2959]
It is going to be a sad day when I personally cannot safely/respectfully/enviromentally drive my Grandchildren up through the HC to teach them what is treasured & tought to me [emoji3590][emoji3590]
Bushwalking, through long distance National Parks, I cannot do, physically [emoji22]

IF, conservation is the Big Picture, I’ll happily put my hand up to Start a NEW Business Venture (much like revenue speed camera contractors) [emoji736][emoji106]
Trail Cameras positioned throughout known rubbish Hot Spots with proper legal fines? More than happy to spend my later years replacing batteries for the Private Revenue Office in Melbourne slapping naughty wankers [emoji2959]

These proposals have popped up a few times over the years and thank fcuk none of them flourished.
But this one is worrying because there is so much detail and maps already out and about meaning whoever is fathering this catastrophe has already done heaps of work in the background. This one could grow legs which is terrifying.
