Hey all - well, here is the moment of truth for us. Post up your weight here tomorrow morning (or after if you weigh yourself and can't get on till later in the day - or PM me as said on the other thread and I'll note it).

To kick things off I'm starting with my weigh in this morning (Sunday) plus another 1kg for the fact I've had a few tonight with the neighbors, and know with the public holiday tomorrow I probably won't be able to find a commercial scale open!!! LOL!!

Bigrig - Monday 2nd May 2011 - 125.8 kg's ... of pure koala cuddliness!!!

I have decided to put my wieght up here for all to see as i am that disgusted with myself for having put so much back on after loosing it. bit over 2 yearsa ago i almost had a major stroke because i was just over the 160 mark with high blood preasure and beig prediabetic!!!!! work hard at loosing 30kg of it and then walked the six track to celebrate but alowed work etc to get in the way and put it all back on. so here we go again!!! when i was at my fittest,,,,, in the army,,,,,, my fitness level was up with professional athalets and i was only 79kg @ 6'3" would be happy if i could get down to under a 100kgs daily walks will have to become the order of the day agian. and proper food hard to do on shift work when your working nights all the time.

I hear ya too. I'm a shift worker and sit on my butt a real lot during work. Try and be as 'normal' as you can. Shift work really stuffs your body clock around.

my shift work involves driving a truck and keeping food fresh in one of those is not easy to say the least,,,, i can eat healthy during the day the problem is bordem at night i eat to make myself feel better just need to bring back the will power a nd dicipline

there's actually a cordial called Diet Rite (I think) which should be ok for you, tis what I drink. I'm not diabetic but was very border line, had to change diet and cut down on everything........... didn;t lose any bloody weight though lol

You can drink the diet drinks like sprite light (not coke though - caffeine inhibits the livers ability to process fats), but in moderation still - they are full of phenylketonurics that can cause a laxative effect amongst other things!! The blurter will be doing it tough enough with the detox and the fibre, so might be best not to place any more stress on it!! LOL

Weekly ... don't go measuring yourself every day - pointless as most people rise and fall about 200-300 grams each day throughout the day from morning to night etc.

Changed diet but went out for Mothers Day and got on it! Did not really get out and do any exercise though just dropped the chocolate.

Its a start! If i can do that week for week then i will be happy though.

Morning all - am 96.5kg (after 2 big parties this weekend) - loss of 0.8kg
Did 2 x 4km walks, plus pilates. Then cutting down on portion sizes, plus more veggies etc. then drinking water as much as possible :)

I actually gained weight this week :s 104.8kg , I used a different set of scales today though. I will try extra hard this week though to start the shredding process.

Alright very disapointed but he goes 2nd may 107.5kg today 9th may 108.1kg so gain of 0.6kg. Need to be more carefull with what i eat & try much harder.

You can do it old mate!! Your first weigh in was 107.9 - so only a 0.2 increase mate ... And that is bugger all - fluid retention alone will account for about 2-3 kgs easy, so are you getting plenty of water in? I'll revert back to the chat thread from here so as to not fill this one up!!

This weight loss isn't happening as fast as i'd like lol. Really enjoying it though! Did 5.2km walk yest - keeping a fast pace (over 6km/hr) :)

Today i am 95.0Kg (loss of 0.8Kg, making a total of 2.3Kgs) - its going slowly, but in the right direction, so am still happy :)
Changing my eating plan today, so that should help too.

104.1, fully clothed and with a big breakky in me, too much over the weekend again. I have cut out so many things such as beers every day do beers 3 times a week, no energy drinks and have included more exercise. I was gaining weight pretty rapidly when I started this thing and in the 4 weeks have not put any more on. So I think I will just have to try harder now.

My girlfriend and housemate tallyed up how much we have all put on in the last 2 years and it was a total of 54kgs combined (between 3). We are not all huge now, but considering we were all pretty fit 2 years ago this is not great. Moving out of your parents house, studying and working cruddy hours and eating fast food as its all thats open really late at night has been bad for us. So now I have the support of the household behind me and we are making sustainable changes to diet and also to exercise regimes. AND I would like to ask Mother Nature to stop being a rude biatch and to stop raining on Saturdays so that I can play cricket as it is a good source of exercise for me (I am a pace bowler, so its not like watching grass grow and just stand around all day).

Till we meet again Adam (ps anyone keen for a wheeling session next week/weekend go to my thread mid week wheeling and let me know - it doesn't have to be mid week)

Morning all!
After 1 week on CSIRO total wellbeing diet I weigh 93.8 kg - this is a loss of 1.2kg this week, total of 3.5 kg lost :)

Quick summary of this week, compared to previous weeks:
Dragged out the Wii Fit and wiped off the million layers of dust. Doing the hula for 10 mins is awesome for the tummy muscles!!
Also the new food plan is fantastic! Not feeling hungry at all, and no sweet food cravings!!

93.8Kg today - exactly same as last week. although my body fat percentage is less :)
I had lost 0.5Kg by the middle of last week, but was my hubby's birthday over the weekend, so epic scale party didnt help :(

Back on it today thought, and considering getting mountain bikes to exercise, and also some trips away. Hubby always been into motorbikes, so he isnt keen . . . but i'll convince him :D

Hopefully I'll have a staple fish diet for the next 3 days and lose a bit more. lol

sorry for not posting yesterday - was away for the long weekend (and pigged out tons).
94.4Kg today - gained 0.6kg from last week! Gutted :(
But back on it today, and gonna get my Wii fit out every night this week and work super hard.
This cold winter weather is really killin me though! The enthusiasm has totally gone - i just wanna hibernate! Brrrrrr!

Hang in there mate, its not part of your end game so stay focused......

HERE'S SOMETHING YOU MAY FIND INTERESTING.

Its said in many dietary studies that you should include "HEALTHY" snacks into your daily dietary plan as this has been proven to increase metabolic activity. (which means you burn more fat).

But the key word here being "HEALTHY" & it is possible. You can buy or even make up some of your own really yummy healthy snacks to keep in the cupboard or fridge to nibble on & its really good for you.....

The trick here is to have them on hand as it will stop you being temped to go for the not so healthy option.....

I travel back to England today as my step-mum is very ill.
We found out 3 months ago that she had a very aggressive type of lung cancer, caused by smoking. Now she only has a few days left, so I'm going to be with the family. She's only 51 so please hold her in your thoughts . . . . . . And for anyone who has recently quit smoking . . . . Don't start again! I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy . . . . My dad is just sitting there watching his wife/partner/best friend suffer this horrible disease.
Not trying to be depressing, just encouraging :)

Well ad ya all know I've been away and not near scales. Wifey says u look like yav lost weight (also ya no I've been enjoying the grog while away) well all me clothes are looser substantially than when we arrived! I've dun no PE as i was at home but have only eaten freshly made Thai food so can only credit this to fresh healthy food
I have eaten stir fried only and BBQ seafood hope I can keep the healthy diet up at home I will go back to no grog mon-thurs night

Boys, to say I have been slack with this is an understatement. I am however going to try again my weigh in is 103.3kg.

One good thing to come out of my first attempt was that I was able to give up those horrible energy drinks, I was having at least 1 L a day. It was not good headaches and horrible sleep.

Literally started back into it this morning - had a few weeks of being a glutten, and will now hit it hard again for 6 weeks (aiming for around 100kgs in this run). Still 13kgs under where I started, but nearly 5kgs back on in 3 weeks through poor diet and too much grog!

Me too mate - just figured others may need to let loose a bit (I would have also if I hadn't gone and lost over 18kgs only to put 6-7 back on!!). But if I can strip 18 in a few months, I reckon I can get under the ton one coming few also .. that's the plan ... costs too much to have two wardrobes of clothes!!!! lol

Well I'm proud if ya all - I shaved my head earlier this year, raised just over $1200 for Cancer.

Weight Loss eludes me, I'm one of those ppl who eat mostly all the right stuff but NEED exercise to move it .. And alas that is a swear word!! LOL

Aint that the reason we all own cars. I gave up exercise many years ago. I don't call climbing tall rutted out tracks exercise, it's called necessity.
