Hi guys does anyone know if you need to upgrade highbeam relays to run 90/100 bulbs?

What model? My 2010 GU doesn't have relays for the headlights, not sure about other models....

wont a 90/100 globe melt the reflector in a gu ? i thought they were plastic ... but i would run relays for them better be safe then sorry

In gu 1s they are plastic for sure. Don't know about the later models though

I had ipf fatboys in my gu 150/ 130 no problems other then a nice light

Why the need to go a 90/100 on your main lights?

Y60 and Y61 Patrols don't have Headlight Relays.
If you mean "do you need to upgrade TO Head light Relays (both lo and hi) for 90/100 bulbs the answer is Hell Yes.
Personally I wouldn't touch them tho, as I find +90 or +100 Narva or Philips in standard legal wattage are great

Thanks fellas if i thought a pair of drive lights would be still there after parked for a week or two at work i wouldnt bother.

Piranha sell a headlight upgrade loom,
but wouldn't be hard to knock one up yourself.
OOI has anyone actually melted their headlights yet,
using higher wattage globes?

I was unable the impression that if you go bigger globes a wiring upgrade would help.
Maybe something like this.

Yep there is no increase in power usage or heat and adr compliant , just a far better globe
