What a stunning vehicle mate - truly outstanding. That said, I would dead set break into tears at the first scratch!! I had a GU that I had from brand new (the burgundy one on my profile page) and I ended up selling it after I did all the mods as I tipped it on it's side - heaps of panel damage and I simply couldn't justify pounding a $50000 vehicle. Hence, back to the rough and ready GQ ...

Great shot of the winch/cable being flexed. Never thought of that idea. Always thought of relying on the 2 front recovery points. Hopefully I'll remember that one should the need arise.

i thought having bigger diameter tyres fitted would throw out the speedo ????
so far all the way up to 100klm the speedo matches my VMS spot on ......

You'll probably find that your speed reading was showing less than what your gps was showing with your old tyres. So changing to larger tyres will make your speed read higher........... If that makes sense lol

Manufacturers usually set three speedos to read higher than what you're actually doin..... Eg speedos reads 100, but gps may show that you are really only doing 96.
So by sticking on larger circumference tyres it will bring your speedo reading into line, or in some cases make it higher.... Eg speedo reads 100 but ur actually doing 106.

Does that help better or am I still talking sh*te!!!???,lol
