2 3/4 for me no problems. some will say 3" but you can get overboost on some cars other not so what we need to know is more about your car have you got boost and pyro gauges egr block performance chip you need to have some of these in place when you start to make your troll breath.

2 & 3/4 and no more. There is a technical theory behind this just search it up.

Hi Kevin
I don't have any of those mods yet. I want to get the exhaust in first as I'm making my own
Thermocouple for the gauge

Hi hodge
I have read a bit about them sounds like 2 3/4 gives you more low down torque
And the 3" you get a bit more power. I don't tow anything yet but still unsure
Which way to go

as I said earlier the 2 3/4 theres no problems with a 3" its possible you can get problems. problems equals pain in freckle

I wouldn't for that extra cost. Just make sure you hose out the underside of your car after a beach run.

Stainless doesn't deal with vibrations anywhere near as good as good old mild steel. SS has a habit of work hardening and cracking at the mounting points.

From all I've read here it appears the Beaudesert 2.75" is a perfect size for the CRD.
I have a 3" but mine is a Di and I'm happy with it

G'day Ron,
I assume that you have the 3lt patrol? If that is the case go with a 2.75 or 2 and three quarter inch system. I have used both the 3inch and 2.75mm systems on my old 3lt Navaras and the 2.75mm system performed the best. The 3inch does work on the 3lt motors, however, there is know advantage in performance wise over the 2.75mm system on a stock 3lt motor set-up.
However, what I did find is that the 2.75mm system performed far better with the stock engine set-up, less back pressure and allowed the turbo to spool-up better. The EGT's were still the same. Also the 2.75mm system is a lot quiet than the 3inch.
That said; if you are looking for a lot more power and you have don all the relevant pollution blocks, running a larger air intake system and have fitted a chip to your motor, then I would fit a 3inch system to help the thing breath a lot better and help reduce EGT's.
When I had both systems on the dyno 3 years ago the 2.75mm system had a 2% better result than the 3inch system with a stock 3lt fitted with a snorkel.
I would give several renowned exhaust system brands a call for there feed-back and also give Reinhard from Berrima Diesel a call he is one of the best Nissan mechanics in the country. He will be the one on which system is the best for the Patrol. He advised me 3 years ago to fit the 2.75mm system to my Navara and he was right.
Berrima Diesel contact details are;
Address: 3483 Old Hume Hwy, Berrima NSW 2577, NSW Australia Phone: (02) 4877 1256
PS, I hope the above info can help you choose the correct system for you!
