Central Locking

Hi all, would any one know what would cause the 3v lithium battery in the remote to keep going flat ? Had to change it twice in 3 weeks. 2002 4.8l ST wagon.

My remote did the same ,It could be the batteries as I brought a heap on Ebay,
I've given up changing them and just use the Key.
Do you keep keys in front pocket where button could be pushed all the time?
