I'm going to buy this , but mine will be black and white not blue.
Instead of mileage in 5,10,15,20, I'm getting them to mark all so
its 55,56,57,58 etc,
Cost is $73 just for the dial and $15 for every change so $25 extra for
2 alterations, [Discount] Then I'll fit my red leds as well

Make sure you got a PSU with a beefy rail fed PCI-E for the 780 , supposedly the 3 gig versions suck a ton of juice. And give em plenty of air flow. Unless you've water-cooled the whole thing already LOL.

Its got a hi/low gear box and front amd rear diff lockers. :)

Is your newby a fuel one??
I've got a summit 1/10, it's freaking awesome. Needs a strip down tho, put it through some mud a little while ago. I've got a vxl rustler that's smashed and a vxl stampede as well. I play hard so they are all in need of work.
I want one of the big fuel traxxas cars, but I don't think I would use it enough.

New one is brushless runnins on 6s lipos.

I had a ofna nitro car about a year ago. Will never buy one again.
They are fun and sound cool but heaps more work involved.

Yer my little one is the vxl erevo. Awesome little car. Had it for over a year now and its been used hard. Currantly giving it a birthday.
Got new servo, rear diff and slipper clutch assembly for it.

Is you summit the lipo version?

Nah it's the older one. Pretty sure I can run lipo tho. I don't have a lipo charger so I'm in no rush. It still goes pretty hard.

Bought one of these today, but for $45 from Repco during the sale ending next week.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Ezy-Wheel-Lifter-Dolly-Heavy-Tyre-Change-4WD-Offroad-/281121953031?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item41742c9507

Works quite well, but needs flat solid surface. I was in the shed on concrete so swapping the tyres to the roadies was made easier.

My sister in law done to the Christmas Turkey and potatoes a few years back.

Under the turkey skin which was still intact and in shape but as soon as the knife went though, it literally turned to dust and the jacket potatoes were hollow also.

If you look at the picture the top of it has the control box somewhat inbuilt. But all that comes off and fits on top of the bar as did the older control boxes. Once the control box is off the winch , it fits nicely inside the bar. Its alloy too , so much lighter .

2" AmadaXtreme Stage 2 lift kit with air bags .. 100 watt flexible solar panel. This is a test have to see if it's as good as it sounds and appeared at the caravan show in Melbourne. 12vdc digital volt meter x2, Blue Seas 12vdc power points and one Blue Sea USB twin power point. Received quotes for UFI 16g Large turbo kit and airbox, CSA 16" Monster wheels, Toyo AT tyres and Optima Blue Top 31M battery.

Next week will look at cargo divider, air compressor and draw up aluminum drawers for local shop to fold.

I went to the Melbourne show with 2-3 vendors in mind to visit about various items. One that produced aluminum drawers, kit or DIY. They still have on their website as attending, problem was they were not listed in program and the staff couldn't find them. Called them directly "oh, we're not doing that show this year" !!! OMG GET IT OFF YOUR WEBSITE DEAR !! Scratched them off the vendor list.

Thought I'd buy an infra red heat gun,

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NON-CONTACT-IR-LASER-TEMPERATURE-GUN-INFRARED-DIGITAL-THERMOMETER-SIGHT-HANDHELD-/130909149401?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e7acb18d9

Can see it having fun on how hot the coals of a fire are,
how hot tyres get and most important the out side temp of a camp oven
Will let you know how accurate it is

Superflex swaybars......:D

I was looking at those kits last night. Do you think there's any advantage in fitting them to a GU with 2inch OME suspension?.

Ben-e-boy
6th April 2014, 12:42 PM
Dunno. They are longer and thicker so the effort required to twist them would be similar to stock, I would check the difference between your swaybar on and off and if there is on minor difference in travel I probably wouldnt bother

The shunt or the voltage gauge.
I really don't know why I bought the gauge, the shunt does it all..

Was a little under the influence last night..

$176 delivered (Ebay). 20m of hose & a 2m hose to connect between compressor & reel. There are cheaper (& more expensive) but I like Jamec Pem gear. I have found it very reliable over the years, unlike some of the cheapie stuff.

Forgot to mention it, but a while ago, I had a child restraint anchor point fitted to my ute, as that particular model was eligible.

Got it done at Vanquip in Welshpool and they put a modification plate in the engine bay and registered it with the Dept of Transport.

Cost $185, but well worth it - and legal. lol

Small digital volt meter has arrived, now to find a spot to mount it.
size wise its about the same size as a locker switch, maybe a tad bigger.
think I might mount it to the right of the radio as that facia plate has nothing behind it,
there goes the "no drill" policy out the window,

Edit:: just went and tried it , looks like it needs to go on the LHS under the LED light bar switch

Just go some xc-xb falcon heater hose as suggested for the catch can. One flared end. The bloke asked what year, engine size falcon, I said no idea, and when he showed me this one for example it looked right. Then I told him what my purpose for it is, and he said, I'll be changing it in a months time since oil will degraded it big time. So we'll see....
