Winnie nah mate we just use a spray called "OFF". I haven't been to Bali, though we do ask the locals how the dengue fever situation is here. We normally check an area before we go for Malaria outbreaks. We spay the room each night with fly spray while we're having dinner.

Edit: OFF has DEET dunno if that's ok for the lady up the duff? But googling DEET it seems ok maybe ask the quack

Yup Bushmans is good shit! My missus had a Malaria shot years ago and it fucked her up badly. There was an enquiry by Aus govmnt over it. Never had any shots again. I'd be more concerned with dog and or cat bites and scratches, the ol rabies factor

Nah 100% not food related. There's a bug getting around that she's picked up and thought to share with mum. Ok cast iron guts me though is self medicating with a shit load of chilli and garlic keeping everything at bay! Man the garlic here is soooooo good

Funny story! Mate of mine ex army, as a young feller found himself in Bangkok with a heap of mates.

Welcome home Growler. Some delish photos this year! You may have even turned me from a never-going-there guy to a hmm-might-give-it-a-crack guy. How much for the trip?

For three incl airfares not being budget conscious at all around 15k. And Samui is “expensive”.That’s staying on absolute beachfront resort accommodation @ around $125 per night just back from the beach you can get good accommodation for $30 p/n in a hotel with swimming pool. (All breakfast included and daily housekeeping) Apartment by the month with a/c even cheaper. I could easily do it there solo for 5k and have just as much if not more fun. In saying that I know people who stay 5star in Samui who pay $600 p/n. Phuk that! Scooter hire for a 150cc is $12 per day or if you hire one for a month and shop around/haggle can get for $6-$8 per day. Can hire a Suzuki Sierra for $20 per day with a/c or corolla for $40. We only get a car once or twice to take the inlaws around which is stressful driving. A scooter is a lot more relaxed. Thai food in our hotel about $8 but get out off the main drag and you (I) eat the same for $2-$4 . Big serve soft shell crab with a beer and entree was $6 or $8 can’t remember now.
If you like buying sh1t touristy stuff what ever the starting price is start bartering at 50% and work from there. Or sometimes ya just got phuk that’s cheap and buy it hahahaha

Oooh booze forgot to mention. Hotel/Thai restaurant price for beer is $2-$3 for a stubby. Fancy joint $4 shop at 7-11 $1. Cocktail bars $4 for cocktails. Long Island iced tea has 5 shots and they ask if you want normal or strong best value for money. If I spent $40 a night on booze guaranteed to wake up still pissy with the mother of hangovers to hit by lunch hahahaha
