So, after a long trip over Xmas and a few day trips, the passenger side rear flare on the GU snapped off. It was hanging on for quite a while by the top clip, and then it snapped after the door was closed on it.
So firstly,
there are a few genuine replacement options (http://www.patrolapart.com.au/product/flares-trims/nissan-patrol-genuine-door-flare-passenger-side/) available but they are clearly more expensive...
are they worth the extra $$'s or should i use a second hand part from a wrecker, OR go a non-genuine ebay part (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NISSAN-PATROL-GU-REAR-DOOR-FLARE-DRIVERS-SIDE-SIDE-/221032232112?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item33768c34b0)? i want the part to match the car!
unfortunately i need the clips and rubber edging as well.
Secondly:
How difficult is the job? i plan on having the rig for a long time and i want it done properly. I assume the panel beater who did the job previously should have been able to ensure it didn't shake loose but clealry not.
Any tips/ advice welcome!
Thanks in advance!
