i'm actually looking at upgrading to a GU in the not too distant future so will be good to chat around and find out more about them.
My old MQ Patrol is just getting tired and always needing things fixed up and I'm just over it.
Saving one penny at a time but I'm getting there.

Hi Danny!
You can get 2.8td GU patrols for as low as $10,000! I've seen one sold for that. I think the average price for a GU 2.8 is between 15-20k.. for a decent unmodified one. It is possible to get a decent GU for under 20k though.. highly doable.

That's spot on 4.2 Shorty and as Mark mentioned in another thread they really do hold their value too so if you pick up a bargain you could theoretically sell it for similar (whisker less) down the track if need be.

Gday Danny, as 4.2 shorty said you can get some nice GUs for that price range. I picked mine up here in Adelaide for $16,000 private sale. Nice and neat, no work needed

New to 4x4 but the bug has definately bitten.
First lesson was all terrain tyres are not good for all terrains

Yeah 16k would be around my price range for sure.
Like what you got, nice and neat, standard and then save and build her up the way i like it when the funds come around here and there!

Keep looking for them bargains, it's a buyers market at the moment and if you try the auctions you can get a real bargain.
