    Not overheating, yet?

    Hi guys,
Haven't been out too much in the Mav as still waiting to get bar and winch. (I know, weak excuse) went up a long steep track on the weekend in 2nd low. Heated up very quickly just over half, never really gets over qtr on the gauge. Could that maybe be the coolant was not filled correctly with maybe an air pocket or just the td42 heating up under strain?
    Cheers
As stated looking for a bullbar. I am looking for one with no hoops, something bit different. Don't need it for protection for lights, just to house a winch. Any ideas?

    G'day Covo.
    Not much response so far.
Can't help on the bar but would guess living there, you'd be close to a few 4x4 suppliers. Search it up.
My old 4.2D was bloody reliable and predictable on engine temps. I'm going to assume you've changed coolant, knew what to do and did it. If you stuffed it up, temp. probs. would probably show up pretty quick.
My old 4.2 would jump up in temp. as soon as the van went on or it got more of a workout than usual. Long grinds up creeks etc. or hard low ratio work warmed it up pretty quick but it never went into the red.
Wouldn't be too perturbed if your usual work shows usual temps..
    Regards,
    Col.

Got a little bit of cancer in the bar so wanted to get rid of it and replace it.

Got TJM ,ARB AND Ironman but they all look like eachother. I was thinking about just finding a second hand bar and chopping the loops off but wasn't sure how it would weaken it.
