    Rear diff!

    Hey!
    Does enyone know what kind of rear axels there is for 97 gq. I know there lockable diff, lsd and then there is this openable rear swaybar to increase the movement of rear axel while offroad. But the problem is that there is non of those things in mine. Is it bossible that is just with regular open diff and that`s it. Or one option is that it has really worn lsd in it. I am a fresh owner of the car and have just played few days with it so havent got time to open anything up yet.

    Yes it should have an LSD and it may be warn out mate. Pop the bonnet and view the Compliance plate on the fire wall and that will tell you what ratio and what type of diff/ H233 or H260 and if its a 3.9, 4.1, 4.3, 4.6 ratio. You can get it repacked and shimmed to renew it.
    Its a Nissan! =====> Its a Keeper!! ....... Got a TD42 in it BONUS!! ....... I'm a lucky bugger! I've got 2 of em!

    The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
