Third row seatbelts!
Hello!
I have a lwb gq patrol witch has two seats in third row. They are not faceing to driving direction but are sideways. So while sitting on them the rearmost sliding window is right behind you. My question is, where does the seatbelts for them attach to. The car is totally 8 seater and has all other six seatbelts but the rearmost belts are missing and i cant iven find the spots where they should be bolted to.
Maybe someone knows or even has some pictures of those seats and belt, would be very thankful for your help.

Well I suspect you won't.
I have never seen a gq with troop carrier style rear seating...
In the stock gq's the belt attaches to the rear pillar and retracts are located in the rear panel behind the wheel arch.
The bottom of the belt attaches to the inner side of the wheel arch.
Now the receiver clip part of the belt is mounted to the seat which folds up.
So I think you have a custom job there and possibly unfinished. Any pics?

I will make few pictures to show you guys, maybe it will help a little. I even culd not suspect the custamisation option because they looked original to me. But that is an option...

Did low roof GQ's, Aust delivered have seats in the rear ?
I thought it was only the Safari High roof models,.
that's why TOJO made the 60's with a high roof so
they wouldn't be left behind.

I do not know about specs of cars delivered to australia. I do`nt even know the specs abot my own rig. All I know is that it`s located in Estonia and was bought brand new from here. In what form and shape they were imported here is a bit blurry for me...
But yes, mine is low roofed lvb version. 1997 year model and td42 engine in it.

Pretty sure your right John. I think I remember crawling in the back of a Safari with seats like that one stupidly drunken night at the bushmans cup at Sheepyard flats around 20 years ago. Don't ask me who's car it was. The door was open so I got in. Lol.

Very common for GQs to come with a forward facing dickie seat in the back, both my GQs had them when I bought them.
I dunno about these troopcarrier style ones though? Never seen it.

Didn't they change some law so you couldn't have sideways seats in troop carriers ? Might only be a qld thing ?

My troopy was a RV so had a bench seat forward facing,
ripped it out one year and fitted side seats, what APITB that was.
