Hey mate, hopefully Matty sees this thread for more advice but I guess it depends on your budget and what you want out of it and do you want to do it yourself.
My budget was tight and sourcing a second turbo off a TD42T (HT18) with the exhaust manifold, cross over pipes and other fittings and installing myself was a huge winner and saved me $$$
I'm only running 10 psi and at the moment it does the job fine.
For some light reading in the mean time feel free to have a look at my install thread and see if this is up your alley.

As AB has said mate a little more info on what you want to spend, your intended use, do you want to do the work yourself. There are many a setup mate with that extra info we can point you in the right direction.

Thanks guys.
Im willing to spend around $3000 on a set up. I have recently put a td42 with only 170xxxks on her. My last motor done a big end bearing cost me around $5000 to replace. I just want a little more power out of her. Im willing to do the work myself. Ive been quoted $4400 from.a local shop. That includes turbl kit exhaust and dyno tune. I can't remember the brand I think it could have been a dts but not 100% on that.
I was also thinking about getting a second hand kit from the wreckers for $1200 but I really dont want something to bugger up on me. Would ve a nightmare if I do another motor.

I'm in a similar situation myself. Probably going to go a Radius Fabrication top mount manifold (about $500 delivered) and a Kinugawa 16g/6cm turbo (about $1000). Will then just have to get some oil lines made up and put an oil return into sump. Already bought a zd30 airbox to connect up as well...

Sounds good mate i heard a while back that a TD06 mitsubishi evo turbo performs really well on the gq's.
The only thing that is holding me back a little is a few gq's from my area have been getting stolen stripped and burnt out.
Im just a little worried mine will end up that way.

Well they'll steal it turbo or not.... Get one of them steering wheel brace locks. A pain to put on and take off each time but stops the bastards...

$4400 is a pretty good price for a DTS kit installed with exhaust and a "tune". The good thing about a kit like that is it has everything you require to do the job so no running here and there trying to source stuff. And with the appropriate gear a workshop could near have it completed in a day so your not without your car for an extended period. Also if your good with the tools you could easily do it in a weekend at home.
You could do it cheaper by sourcing gear yourself and the best way to do this is source everything then put it altogether at once. Keep in mind there is a bit to source- turbo, manifold, oil lines, possibly coolant lines, crossover pipe, airbox and any associated piping, bolts etc. you will also need to source an exhaust system and depending on which turbo route you choose might even need to fabricate a dump pipe.
Turbo wise you could use something like flash man has suggested in the kinugawa TD05-16g 6cm, a Garrett 2860 or all out a UFI 16g.
Also no matter which route I would be installing a pyro and boost gauge.
