Power mod plans!! (TD42T)
Its time to start getting my plans finalized as im losing my licence in 3 weeks.
(don't judge me, it gives me 3 months to work on the patrol every arvo)
Ive been looking through this and other forums and all over the net for some guidelines.
At this moment my plans include
-3 inch turbo back zorst.
-Port/gasket match all manifolds and pipes/joiners
-ive got a factory Bt50 IC which ill top mount. (it was free and is better than no intercooler)
-A plethora of gauges. Pyro/Charge temp, boost, water temp, oil pressure, voltage monitors.
-bleed valve
Im going to experiment with boost pressures to see what works well. Im not chasing figures just more responsiveness and TOOOOORQUE.
Future mods im thinking water meth injection. possibly revise the intercooler setup and expand the intake manifold.
So for the wise ones out there, anything I should keep in mind? any little tricks or tips?
for the record this entire build will be on relatively tight budget, coz well im a tightass

For now yeah. If it needs replacement down the track I will use that opportunity to upgrade.
am I right in believing the stock turbo is still reasonably efficient around 13-15psi?

Patrol God
Stock turbo is no good beyond 12psi. With a half decent cooler and a very good tune you can still get them performing much better than standard.
Water meth will be great for it as is now with aiding response and torque especially if you want to play with pre turbo injection.

Pre turbo injection... my toes are tingling.

Anything need to be done differently for pre turbo?
