Gu 4.2 Top mount intercooler kits

    Gday all,

So I'm looking at upgrading my intercooler from the pissy little standed one..Now I have come up with these 2 after a long time of looking at them! Now I'm after peoples opinions!

So the first is the cross country one..
    http://www.crosscountry4x4.com.au/pr...?productid=107

Then there is this one from hpdiesel.. Now I have read some where that they use cross country coolers anyway? can some one confirm this?
    http://hpdiesel.com.au/nissan-patrol...oler-kit-03-07

If anyone has used or know anything about these kits or even if you have a kit I may not have considered I like to hear from you!..

    Cheers Lewy

Mine is a GQ. I can say that the quality is awesome though and very easy to fit.

    Hello Steve,

How the fan runs is totally up to you. You can have it running all the time, running with the ignition on only, running via a dash switch or running via a thermo switch that turns on at 50deg. All options are available at time of ordering. The dimensions of the core are 600 x 300 x 76mm.

The Ultimate kit comes with basic instructions designed for the home handyman in mind. They are extremely easy to follow and if you strike trouble, we are only a phone call away. The scoop also comes with a template showing where to drill the holes, this covers the original hole.

Why is our better that theirs? Without going into too much detail (better to call because it takes me wayyy to long to type it) Our cores are PWR tube and fin instead of bar and plate, our tanks are folded sheet ally instead of cast, ours are 100% and I mean 100% Australian HAND MADE in house by one of four welders. Our cores are bigger giving more efficient flow designed by people that compete not only in the 4WD racing industry but also in on road/drag competitions and towing/touring. Also, one simple fact is that the core of the kit is the heaviest part of the system. Our mounts are welded to the core itself and the brackets hold the Intercooler from there, the other kit has the mounts on the tank allowing premature cracking from the diesel rattle…..

I hope this is of some help.

    Regards,

    Craig.
