    Thoughts on techni ice

Hi anyone here use that techni ice stuff, my bff brought the 2 esky deal and 10 sheets of Techni ice.
we found it only lasted one day up the Murray, before going soft as. The pellets were very plump if thats the term. IMO ok for day drips with the smaller esky but not for me on weekend trips. Are those "Eskies sold as ice box or esky as there is a difference. I use a Bailys ice box now evercool and find I never need ice over a hot weekend up on the murray. Nothing worse than warm beer.40 ltr Engel is used for Food only and a few soft drinks. other than that all our drinks are in ice. Your preference ice or techni ice? Must admit Techni ice great as a cold pack plus you can heat it too, try that with ice hey yeah

I used the techni ice sheets a few years ago and wasn't very impressed. They split often which resulted in slime all over the contents of the eski, and they didn't last as long as ice.

I think they are designed more as single-use items for shipping things commercially.

Yeah thats basically what we came up with, BFF was trying to convince himself they were the best thing ever.
Proved that wrong , he also changed eskies to the flatter rectangle shaped one,50 ltr too tall
But in their favour they are one tuff as Shite esky

Those sheets are only good for the day if that. I use mine fishing in the small esky only.
Block ice in the Techni ice box, normally keeps for 2-3 days but difficult in a drinks esky cos of all the opening and closing.

The sheets they give you are crap, but make your own ice blocks in ice cream containers and you will have them last a week easy inside a techni ice box. Have a 100L myself and dad has the 200 or 220L

Make my own at home in used soft drink bottles . And if you change it regularly you got fresh water to drink as well , even smash a few up and put over the drink esky as party ice . Free and lasts better than the brought crap
