Good news boys!! Picked up a my new rig today.
'89 GQ Blue over silver (thats BLUE over silver not blue in the sun over silver!)
TB42
3" lift
HD Panhard rod
TJM winch bar
Spotties
CB
3/4 roof rack
Snorkel
Maxxis Bighorns (35's) 50%
5 BFG AT's (31's) 60%
The Bad-
Rocker cover gasket leaking (easy job)
Swivel seals leaking (not as easy, but doable)
Petrol tank leaking at welds on mounting brackets. Its and after market 50lt stainless tank. Only noticed it was leaking when I got home after I had filled it right up. The young fella told me it was seeping a little but I think he might have been under exagerating a tad.
Anyway I'm pretty happy with it considering the price started at $5,500 and ended with me handing over $3,900.
If any one has an old sub tank (petrol) let me know if you want to sell it.
I'll get some pics up tomorrow.

Awesome!
Sub tanks come up on ebay all teh time for a GQ. keep an eye there.
The swivel hub leak will be an inner axle seal and not that bad a job. just dirty. Worth considering doing a full overhaul though if you dont have a history. Bigger job.
Congrats mate

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
